Glad you’re enjoying it and definitely good that the aircon is blowing some colder air now. These things are like greenhouses!

Thanks for the heads up. I’ve no idea so I’ll get in touch with the mob in Swindon next week. [/quot

The recall reference No is AKB1 and was issued in July 2019. Its a plastic part within the park mechanism of the gear lever. If it fails the car can roll away when the car is in "park" so pretty important smile

Cheers, just checked the Porsche database and it shows mine is all up to date, which is reassuring!

Just an annoying intermittent headlight fault due to a loose connection to fiddle with at the moment.

Going to do a walk round video and post on my new YouTube channel and hopefully educate a few potential purchasers to the value these lovely things can offer...

Mine's a 2007, not aware of any recall.

Mine is 2004; not sure what years are covered by the recall.

Are you the registered keeper with Porsche UK? I had a recall letter in the file that came with the car sent to the previous owner

Edit

I've never told them.

What did you do .... just call the nearest OPC?

I rang 03457 911911 and changed the owner to myself. You'll need the VIN and need to send the V5 in your name

Sure thing.

Short and sweet process of clicking the link and dumping my vin into their search tool. Pinged back immediately that there weren’t any outstanding recalls on this one (didn’t say which ones HAD been done though).

I checked mine too and it has no open recalls on that system either!

Checked with main dealer today and my car definitely has recall outstanding.

So I would ring your dealer and get them to check wink

Mine has a recall still open so it’s booked in for a week on Thursday.

Cheers for the nudge!

Just checked and no outstanding recalls on mine.

According to the Service Manager the 2019 recall affects earlier cars than mine (2007 S).

Thanks for heads up though, good to check this stuff.

I’m going to get them to check a couple of other things whilst it’s in there so I can either sleep more easily or find a good local indie to sort anything out.

I think my experience with my first Cayenne S at the start of the year has made me a little paranoid...

Yes I'm considering asking them to check out the Sat Nav and clock issue on mine BUT slightly concerned about what the hourly rate might be smile

Yeah, don’t want to fork out a tonne of cash for it but hopefully they’ll be nice and charge rates from 16 years ago!
