Emergency - bonnet release broken on Cayenne 2015 e-hybrid
Discussion
Hi. Unbelievably the bonnet release has failed on my cayenne and google / you tube have both failed to provide concrete evidence of a secondary/emergency release link. I have had both front wheels off and wheel arches out looking for the loop / pull to release but to no avail. I suspect it would be on the near side given it is a UK RHD model - I looked for a good hour with a mechanic friend and neither of us could locate this, but understand it is very hard to find. I would be grateful if anyone was able to confirm it's existence on this model year (2015) and even better if e-hybrid). I also used microsoft co-pilot and that suggested I might find a secondary release in the passenger foot well (again, not found, but have not taken apart this area (yet!).
I timed out today with the day light, but looking to give it another go - but would be very handy to have any pointers.
Having just had fun with water ingress as a result of blocked drain holes I am hoping this problem is diy-able!
Thanks for any comments / help
