Just wondering ...since ive had about 6 - 911s over the last 25 years and bought 2 from Malaya Garage now no more, how many Porsche garages have closed down .. is Lancaster Porsche still up and running?
Do you know any others that gave good service (or bad) over the years and for one reason or another have left us .

Lancaster Porsche (Colchester) are still very much in business.

OPC Norwich is the only place I know to of closed down.

It is now Jardine.

They've recently had a refurb. The show room is now huge...work shop is in another building on the trading estate.

Loved the Porsche dealerships of that era.

I bought my first few Porsches from Malaya Garage. Also used Charles Follet and Motortune in London for servicing.

Still regard the excellent Porsche Swindon as Dick Lovetts

1992 - they lost the Porsche franchise to Rivervale. Sad as they were great to deal with.

Think the site in Billingshurst is now a supermarket. Derek Bell and John Watson used to get their road Porsches serviced there.

Anyone have any information on the garage such as old bills or any pictures. Anything would be much appreciated.

Hi,
Just getting round to doing some research on my SC which have owned since 2002.
Coming up to 40 years old this March so I have been digging through the old service history and Malaya garage led me to this link. It has been an interesting exercise so far and any info on the garages listed would be appreciated.

The car came up to Scotland around 1998 and history from then is fine.
Prior to that it seems to have had a busy life and was looked after by some well established and respected main dealers and independents. (Or maybe not!)

Initial sale from Parks of Exeter and 12k service , Dick Lovett 24/36k, Intaporsche 57k /60k 99k Malaya Garage 48k / 79k or Yates and Smith 84k AFN 114k. I believe these two names are the same garage.

Like me the car is now semi retired at approx 140k, it’s bodywork is in better nick than mine.
Any info would be appreciated
