if its one thing Ive come to realise with old porsches, it is that perfect finish is something you can forget about hehe

watch the movies from the factory fitting the doors in the 80s, they are hanging and pulling them like crazy to make em fit!

and dont get me started on RUF, they slapped em together with some filler here and there and jobs`a good`un - its factory finish and this is coming from Meek who have worked on several on them - including CHOPPING off a roof because it was delivered with a sunroof.

This old myth about original cars being picture perfect must die , wasnt just the dagenham factory who left cheese sandwiches under the paint hehe
I remember many, many years ago reading In Car magazine how the 911 was built, and how all the panels were carefully aligned......

Shame but no dramas. IMO old Porsches should have intergalatic mileages and a little battle damage.

My car had the Guadalupe tax disk still in the car.....
Did you sell to the Pullicino brothers?
They sold it on consignment for me but I don't remember a Guadalaupe tax disc.....carbon bonnet front wings and doors and no gutter delete made it quite unique ?

The banging of panels and doors with a heavy duty hammer to make them fit is still in operation today. I was in a mainstream car factory last year and the guy doing it at the end of the line wasn't holding back.
