I guess it depends on how "original" you want to keep it. I suppose a lot of the parts can be replaced with "close enough" patterns but then at some point you are taking the Rufness out of it. I had a stack of bills from the original (rich) French owner of mine and everything he had done was by Ruf and it was crazy money stuff, really quite scared me and I'm not usually scared of man math "upgrades".
When my silencer was shagged and Ruf nonchalantly said 10K I realised that I was out of my pain threshold and had my shop get the welder out
It may well have changed as I know Ruf like to market themselves as competitive for restorations and servicing so it is feasible they have more realistic prices now but I somehow doubt it.
Have you driven it yet ? can you tell what you think ?

Always liked these.
In fact, looking at the pictures on the thread makes me feel kind of nostalgic....
And it got me thinking....

Hi,
I just did some googling and found a post on pistonhead forum from the previous owner here: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/9...
Additionally, if you use google photo search with the key words "RUF mintgruen" you will find several pics of the car when it was on offer at Auto-Salon-Singen, a famous German car dealer. Chances are that they ay have some forther infos.
Stunning car

Why don't you contact RUF in Germany for any details on it. Plus you can request the previous registered keepers in Japan if you know the licence plate number.
Another option will be to contact the 2 or 3 RUF dealers in Japan and see if they can help you.
Ruf has no info on it ,unfortunately. Was exported to Japan in 1993. The RUF dealer believed to have serviced the car shut up shop in 2011...Another option will be to contact the 2 or 3 RUF dealers in Japan and see if they can help you.
