Have you thought of building your own, my 912 has Magnus Walker seats engine upgrades & a suspension upgrades the previous owner (my mate used various companies) to get his the way he wanted it's not as rough looking as MW's but he & now I like it especially with 110bhp to scoot around the place with it's quick enough to keep with modern traffic.

Glad you guys like it, it turns out it;s one of 50 made in this colour with the 5 speed box & three dials but that's by the by, it's a fun car the complete opposite to everything else I've got in that it's small & light.

It started out as a bit of a basket case but with pretty much new everything floor & rear bulkhead wise it's back on the road I still have a small list of things to do on but it doesn't stop me enjoying it the engine upgrade has made this much more enjoyable, it took a year to rebuild it & next winter I reckon it'll take about 3 months of further work & upgrades (a 2.0 engine & some Wilwoods all round) to get it where I think I want it, my friend kept all the original parts & I've done the same so everything I upgrade will involve changing rather than modifying the original (it is one of 50 after all) parts.

So to summarise OP have a look at various cars & looks & workout what you want done to yours.

My 911/912 itch still needs scratching. When the day comes that I am simply too old and creaky to clamber into my caged E30, I think a 912 is a likely replacement.

So far I have identified 911 Retro Works as a good and affordable place to have an outlaw built.
But I would like to compare workmanship and prices so any other ideas/names are welcomed......even if they are not big ones such as Paul Stephens (£££).
I am based NW UK so the closer to that part of the country, the better.
Thanks in advance.

Saw a stunning green 911 st badboy with a 2.8 rs spec engine at DSD Motorworks a few weeks back.
Dave said either that or a yellow one he had build had to go.
Both sounded stunning, were low and different.
Downside is the price!

He's been building the second one for some time. When we last spoke, he offered either to me for in excess of £100,000....Has he reduced his price or increased it?

My pals at Stuttgart Classica could build you one for sure. They manufacture a lot of their own parts too so can be a lot more bespoke than a lot of places. Speak to Jason and tell him Ash sent you smile

Guys, please let me know if you see any late impact bumper cars for sale that can be my base vehicle . There are some cars available on the usual sites but either too expensive of the wrong spec (G50, sunroof preferred, mechanically sound). Not too bothered about the bodywork but rust free would be a bonus!
Many thanks!

If it doesn't have to be RHD then get one from the states I picked up a 67 last month landed the total cost was 16k inc taxes, it does need new floors inner & outer seals new rear quarter (damage) but I'd rather buy a car like that because you know what you're getting & can price your build accordingly.

You've really got to know what you are getting into if you are buying a rusty wreck and restoring.
