Personally I would leave as original as possible.

Love driving a time warp car.

If you want to modify it just do it , its only a car ....keep the bits you take off though smile , as far as the wheels , take em off and get a set of non gen fakoFuchs in 7" and 8" (or9") from Matt at type911 ..other parts sellers are available ...
mine used to look like yours ..

Doesn't any more smile
Now that is a very yummy modification.

I often feel that I should have a selection of wheels and engine covers that can easily be swapped for whatever look I am in the mood for.

OP do what ever you like just don’t do it for the next owner.

Personally I can see the benefit of making dynamic modifications that would improve the driving experience but aesthetic modifications only? No, I wouldn’t change what is already a lovely car.

Hi Guys,

I have recently collected my new and beautiful Grand Prix White 3.2, its a brilliant car and I love it. There is NO rust on her, she is in fantastic condition, been garaged and not on a wet road for 23 years (last owner!)
can you tell me if it has the original radio fitted, possibly a Panasonic ?

Congratulations. The only thing I would do is paint the wheel centres satin black
This.

By wheel centres we mean the elements that are currently (incorrectly) colour coded white.
+1 and I'd take the whaletail off

spacers would help the look too

Normally blaupunkt ?

Got a Toronto sqr 46 in mine and wanted a spare to mod and put a DAB radio and use the cassette slot to hold and charge a mobile phone. However they are going for £800 plus on eBay!

Found a Toronto sqr48 for £50, but it's worth so much I can't bring myself to cut it up.

The wheel centres are not "incorrectly" colour coded. White was an option and plenty of white 3.2s have them. Personally, I like them.

There was a time when hot rodding IB 911s increased the value, but not any more. So do whatever you like, but keep the original bits so its reversible. Lots of small mods make them drive much better - alignment, corner balance, new bushings, bilsteins, bigger rear sway bar, more racey brake pads, good tyres etc. Also getting some weight out really brings them to life - race bucket seats, plastic ducktail etc. All adds to the thrill of driving.

Mine was 280hp and under 1050kg and it wasn't vintage in any respect. You could keep most modern machinery very honest.

What option number? I’ve had 3 GPW cars and none had the white centres. White spokes, yes...they were an option...

Lovely, almost makes me want a ducktail on mine.

Btw, graham green near Preston would do a good job for any changes you might ever need.

Only problem is, his workload is enormous (took me two years to get a car in for a minor job) and I think he may retire once he's completed the lightweight e-type jag he's got on at the moment.

I did not know that. I would still paint the wheel centres black. Looks much smarter against the black bumper bellows and rubbers etc
