74. Wow. Sincerely great respect. 82 and thinking of giving up the GT3. Tough decision. I lost mum last week to dementia. 87. I still smile when I think back to when she did not speak to me for three weeks. Must be 12 years ago. I had a tweaked Hayabusa. She was mad as yell at me as I refused to let her ride pillion. An I mean mad as hell. She was a speed freak but never learnt to drive or ever drove. Back in the day I had a 3 litre Capri allegedly. Picked her up from work one evening. Back home was a longish road but 30mph limit. She said do you reckon you could hit a lepton. Sure. Then lets see and as a dutiful son I obliged. Must have been f'ing nuts. Still am and always will be. It is what makes you feel alive smile

My sincerest condolences G, I lost my mother aged 90 last week too frown We were only recently chatting about how she'd rolled a car in the snow soon after qualifying as doctor. She posted the keys through the letterbox of the nearest garage, along with a note for them to ring her when they'd recovered it, she then caught the train back into Birmingham, not in the least bit fazed by her adventure biggrin

Appreciated G and Paul.
I heard a clip from an Eric Clapton interview a couple of years ago, he said that one day he'd realised "the road ahead was now shorter than the road behind". It knocked me off my feet to hear it those terms yikes

I would have the car thoroughly inspected again, again and again if you buy from these guys.

I have bought a car from them...

Still, they have some lovely cars and it is worth having a look but get it checked thoroughly.

I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a replica. Buy a standard 911 SC and do it yourself. It will cost you half of the money and you might be able to keep the gt3.

You certainly won't build a replica like that on half the money. You could buy and backdate an SC perhaps for £56k, depending on how much rust there was.

It's a hard car to buy though as it is a lot of money. So you need to be sure and I mean really sure that it is what it is purported to be. The devil is very much in the detail so it needs inspecting by someone who really knows his stuff. Maxted Page perhaps.

Good luck though!

Better off finding a 2.4E or S for the same money. Will hold their value better and are every bit as nice to drive as an RS rep. This particular car is silly money imho.
