Saw this on 911uk, think it’s a lovely example.

Not mine, but I’ve seen this car in the flesh and think it’s a lovely example.

I know the owner who is a fastidious chap, just the kind of owner you’d like to buy from. Just FYI in case anyone is looking for one.

For the good ones, I believe so. Lots of dross around for less money but I think the cars in super condition command a big premium.

Actually thought this was keenly priced. Not many black cars around.

That is really really lovely.

I'd rather own that than a newer 911.

Goodness, I remember when these were expensive at £30k - looks lovely though.

Yup. 993s have gone up a fair bit over the past 5 years. I’m no expert but I think this one is fairly priced vs others on the market.

Looks like a proper car! Buy the best, they say, or they can cost you. This looks like a great example and a credit to the seller. Contrast it with fast Fords of the same age, and it looks like value to me.

I think that's the going rate for a nice original 993.

Meets most criteria - Coupe, manual, varioram, C2/C4, lowish mls, good spec. Black is a bit of a 'marmite' colour, and the red interior is not going to appeal to everyone, although red never photographs particularly well. Probably a safe entry into an aircooled 911

But if you actually want to enjoy driving it, the narrow body cars are by far the nicest. The wide-body non-turbo cars looks nice but are lardy and never really had great reviews when they were new.

Very nice..dropping £62k on a private sale would need some serious thinking about.. I love the 993 shape...

Lovely cars. I think I remember him buying it all those years ago, if so he started out with a really nice example and the price feels very realistic. I wish I had never sold my C2S.

For £10k less you could look at the similar car at Ashgood's and have the benefit of buying from a dealer...

Yup that looks value also.

Not sure I could live with all the red (think the 911uk car has a black dash top, etc). Also I’d prefer to have hardbacks for choice.

Buying from a dealer: I’m not convinced that’s always a good thing, personally I like the idea of meeting the previous owner as it gives a sense for how the car has been looked-after, etc.

Anyway, every car has a buyer at the right price! thumbup

Fully agree cmoose. Sorry I should have clarified that my comments were based on the owner having had it for a long time.

It seems a good price. The main reason it's sat is probably because it's been advertised late in the season and many 993 owners would be soon tucking the car away for the winter so why not wait till spring the following year.

Other theories: it's 4WD, it's missing an annual service in 2016, i.e. very recently...why?

Just out of interest and understand looking ballpark figure .....

But does anybody have any idea what mine would be worth. 144K miles full OPC history (24 stamps), complete (I mean complete as in everything, tops mounts, every single ball joint amd suspension arms etc etc) suspension replacement within the last three years and 18K miles, . RS wheel RS short shift. Four owners in total one of which was the supplying dealer.

Manual December1993 993 C2 in Midnight Blue, classic grey interior with early sport seats, Paint average (lots of stone chips) but NO rust, including chassis legs
