WTF caused this?

I had a boxster that lived out all the time.

My specialist dealer said that the wind dries the outer disc, but not the inner, hence the inner rusts more. I grew to expect replacement discs every few years ...

There’s no need to remove discs at an oil service, and pad and disc wear is apparent even with wheels on.

I think our esteemed contributor was suggesting that his local OPC doesn't bother removing the wheels when they do a service, as opposed to removing the discs.

I think the point being made was that OPCs are not flushing and bleeding the inner half of the calipers due to lack of access without removing the wheels.

This failure to properly replace the brake fluid by OPCs (two different OPCs in my experience) is not acceptable.
