I can't wfh properly, kids driving me mad, so I decided to take a month and wfh from the Bay of Biscay.
And I took my bike.
Seriously? And Mrs Aide is ok with this is she? Gosh. And I took my bike.
It's an interesting debate though.
There are hundreds of people locked down, with kids at home trying to do jobs that require uninterrupted silence, but have nowhere to go.
Under normal circumstances working from home a couple of days a week, with the kids at school, is perfectly ok.
But right now, trying to juggle a job with a home life - all while under the pressure of lockdown and with absolutely nowhere else available to work or live or unwind except home - puts strains on life that no one, in their infinite wisdom, could have ever envisaged. So, getting away doesn't just make sense, it's cruital I think.
ohhh right - I thought you were pulling the 'mental health' thing and leaving MmeAide with six kids under eight in a two-bedroomed flat in a high-rise
I never found WFH an issue, but I guess it depends how old the children are - teenagers these days tend to be fairly quiet and in separate rooms.
If your kids are younger, I could see that being slightly more annoying, but if you have a garden we haven't exactly had bad weather for the past five months. Let them turn feral!
