It certainly does - just 4 owners in 40 years - the same number as most 991.2 GT3s!

Beautiful to look at lick although I actually prefer the unspoilered narrow bodied 911s of the 74-89 era.

Issue would be whether you could really use it and whether the driving experience really matches the looks scratchchin

That 964 turbo looks stunning. Not a huge fan of the blue dash and steering wheel. Big money though but very low mileage

that 930 in the start looks nice, but a bit high priced me thinks.

prices for a lot cars are down, the classic/youngtimer market looks a bit overflooded? and every year some 'new' cars join on top of that.

prices for 911 Turbo are or seem lower then they were in NL at least and very nice ones, true, also some expensive ones, but those does not have to be better, just in some handlers hands who still trying to get some extra and sell those cars for clients.

The interior of the 964 will limit its appeal.

I think there's a bit of a re-adjustment....good cars are selling quickly and for big money. Like this RHD 230k km 930 Turbo sold for over £300k on Collecting Cars last week https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1975-porsche-9...

Reality is they made a lot of 930 Turbo's and always plenty around. So unless you've got one that's a desirable iteration it's either got to be totally original or had a great restoration to get good money and most aren't like that.

AU$410,000 = £230k?

Hah sorry you’re right....got carried away. Still big money. Although despite RSVP saying it’s bonkers that’s what RHD 75’s go for !

Bucking the trend, whenever I see a low mileage car for sale at stupid money it just makes me sad that no-one will ever enjoy driving the thing.

Put into a museum before its time.

The 930 Turbo was a ‘poster’ car, back in the day - 45 years ago - can you believe it?
When the modest little 64>73 models evolved into the more structured IB design, and the Turbo was transformed into a ‘911 on steroids’, with performance figures, at the time, to match.

It will no doubt appeal to someone who maybe had the poster in the ‘80s and can now afford the real thing, and park it as a 3-dimensional ornament to admire. Not to drive, as that might spoil the dream.

Are these things a long term investment? No short answer, but I don’t believe so, too many contrary factors on the horizon. But, as an indulgence, as the Turbo always was, then why not.

The only thing I have read about which would raise eyebrows is the board not publishing minutes of it’s meetings or at least an explanation as to why they haven’t been doing so....which maybe Rob explained above.

Feels to me like there’s some personal grudges being brought to bear which is inexcusable on both sides.

My brother definitely enjoyed driving the original car in the OP back in the late 80s

It was his father in law’s car and my teenage brother took it out (with his girlfriend) in the wet and spun it on a roundabout in Edinburgh and it ended up facing the wrong way in the traffic. hehe

Lovely car and was only part of a collection of other similar and equally awesome cars. I always thought it looked a handful whenever I saw it.
