Get to the point man !! I hardly think some surface corrosion on a period part constitutes it being "a bag of spanners" as you so eloquently put it. But each to their own.
Though I have to say that compared with some the abominations you've linked to, suggesting they're wonderful, over the past few months on this very thread, I'd say it's a decent car, that's not to say I'd part with over £200K for the privilege of owning it.

I like the overall look of this one, and it has some nice details, but not sure about all the 'Paul Stephens' references all over it. Even Singer aren't that narcissistic, although I've read that Porsche may have had a quiet word with them about their branding.

It’ll be interesting to see what that sells for given the original price I’m sure was circa £225k https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1989-porsche-9...

That looks very nice indeed! Love those Magnus Walker wheels, they are stunning!https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1989-porsche-9...
Not too keen on the seats, but that is a small thing. Same goes for the £50 Continental DAB Radio with a cheap Porsche sticker on it, again nothing major but these small things are what differentiates a Singer from other resto mods.

Just watched the video and the presenter claims "the old Blaupunkt unit has been replaced with a OEM Porsche head unit"

Anything over 150k is strong for this car, unless the Paul Stephens name means that much.
Does it?
NoDoes it?
The cost of these, as one I am having done nears completion is roughly as follows:
Donor 35k
Strip car and catalogue 5k
weld, strip new body panels etc 20k
paint job 6k
engine and gearbox rebuilt with race spec pistons, new seals etc 20k
suspension powder coated, dampers and bushes redone 5k
Brakes refurbed, new lines and upgraded 5k
New wheels 4k
interior 10k
rebuild 5k
Total 115k
minus sold parts circa 10k for wheels, windows etc. total 105k
So the prices of good example is 100k+. The problem I have found looking at examples for reference for mine is people don't do them right. You see most with fibreglass bodypanels, virtually non touched engines, the undercar not properly sealed, electronics not restored or upgraded, cheap interiors thrown back in at the end f the build as the customer run out of money (thats the most obvious), poorly catalogued build and so on.
For me if I was buying I would want 300+ photos, full list of all works, recognised specialist engine and bodybuilder, preferably a race setup garage, whom I can contact. Moreover I would want a clear idea of what the car was for - touring, hill climb, looks? So many are essentially 3 or 3.2s with a respray and rs or rsr bodypanels in fibreglass stuck on who then want 100k + for a fibreglass 3.0 classic that has 150k miles on the clock. No wonder they dont sell.
I ask the question does the name Paul Stephens mean much? Or Rennsport? To me, if I was buying one yes it would. 200k? maybe not, but at least it would have been done properly. In my view anyway.

I agree .
At £225/240 new it’s a car you need to keep forever and write off its value if you can afford to .
It’s possible the car will sell for 100k less than it’s original purchase price which probably tells you the mark up from new in these builds
And to answer this, no it doesnt cost over 200k. No way near. At this you are paying for the garage owners big office, art collection, holiday etc - not a car.At £225/240 new it’s a car you need to keep forever and write off its value if you can afford to .

Is it worth this? Thats up to the buyer.
