I'd just like to clarify I agree with you entirely. I am sure it would feel far too quick for me, but it's the only way I could quantify Cheib's comment.
Sorry yes I probably shouldn’t have included you in the multi post there-I get you’re saying the same as I and thought it rude to cut you out of the conversation.Slippydiff said:
Utterly cringe.
Please let Henry Catchpole, Jethro B or Jason Camissa get behind the wheel of the car, preferably unaccompanied.
Lol, but you do know…Please let Henry Catchpole, Jethro B or Jason Camissa get behind the wheel of the car, preferably unaccompanied.
1 - we wont be able to hear Henry
2 - every other word from Jethro will just be ‘deeply’
3 - Jason only drives in a straight line.

true, I could not stay on till the end because that little Girl next to him not stopping giggling ala Kamala H
Philip is cool but I find it hard to warm to the youtuber guy. But then I'd rather see someone alone in the car than the two of them together.
I think folks are being a little pro-faced here re:the giggling.
If a frankly ridiculous 11k rpm redline doesn't make you giggle like a school kid in morning assembly after their best mate has just broken the silence with fart that sounds like tearing canvas, then such cars are probably not for you.

Without Philip there this car wouldn't have existed. The K is named after his surname and he commissioned Tuthill with his vision which became the 911K
The car was originally going to be the STL-12 (ST Lightweight) and then the STL-11. There is no K in that name. It became the 911K because it revs to 11k.No doubt Philip has been a huge driver behind Richard’s decision to start the project and with the development since. It is no accident he has the first car.
But you are doing a disservice to the other people who were involved from over 3 years ago and also played a big part in its evolution. The fact it became 3.1 from originally 2.8 was from a series of discussions I had with Richard. Before the K I was working on a radically lightweight RSR concept which I stopped when Richard called and said how about this, we are looking for a small group of people to get involved.
In any case, the car is a masterpiece and I love it.

Thread bump.
There is a very interesting interview with Richard Tuthill on The Intercooler podcast. He talks about the 911K, the new GT One and also the relationship that he and other builders / resto modders have with Porsche.
It's a good listen to while away an hour in the car.
Andrew, how many miles on your K now?
