993 to what next?

Took the only girl for an MOT yesterday, first time pass, now only got 55k on it.
I've now listed it for sale on here as I fancy a change.

Yes, sold my 1995 manual Carrera 993 for something that didn't 1) seem to need every damn part replacing or refurbishing, and 2) didn't have offset pedals that crippled my knees within 30 minutes of driving the thing. That 'something' was an Aston Martin Vantage V8, a 2015 car, although it had its own foibles too.Best wishes for a successful sale.

If you’re spending all of the proceeds & still have to have a 911..a 997 GT3 would be a nice shift (I went 993 C4S to the GT3). Modern enough but also old school enough. Fab cars.
If you want to spend a fair chunk less and still get about 90% of the thrills, a Cayman R is an option, great little sports car.
Or, sticking with Porsche, a 997 GTS, a 911T, a GT4, 987 or 981 Spyder…spoilt for choice and a great selection of cars to chose from?
Or a Vantage S, Evora 410, Emira, F430, R8 V10, 570S….the world’s your oyster at that price point

a 997 gt3 would do. I'm not really a fan of the post 997 generations. I've been in a milion circles, from ferrari ff's, to v10 r8's and some one has offered a Aston DBS + cash. also in love with lexus lc500's! cayman R is a good shout also.
For one reason or another, i've not fussed about the woking cars.
I know what you mean re the Macs….I’ve tried a few and not taken the opportunity to get one.
Try a Cayman R, or a Spyder, they punch way above their weight.
I loved my F430, more than the 458 that came after it and would recommend trying one. Requires a bit more luck with the ownership experience financially though, you can get caught out for a big bill if you’re unlucky.
Nice decision to have to make.

I did this 22 years ago - and still have the gt3 - have never found anything I'd want to replace it with all things considered.
I had a 981 Spyder too for a while that was a brilliant car.

I'm thinking more of a 997 GT2 (yes RS would even be better but boy those prices)

if you give those a boost to RS levels 620hp they are nuts
balistic if you want, but have also lots of power lower in rpm range, in which they say at least some GT3 (RS) are lame in lower rpm, at least thats what I've heard and seen in test video's.
ok never driven a GT3 so no real idea, but seen some video's you could get something out them if you are not living next to some circuit.
anyhoe, 500++ hp and manual in a not to heavy car and pretty rare sounds like a good deal, but finding one with ideal spec can be a hurdle, some have been used for racing (Cup) and so often offered at lower prices.
and what is wise... some ordered the standard sportseats but a lot ordered with the nice bucket seats and or even cup package, but what is wise...
guess the bucketseats and or cup package cars could be more interesting, but I also can understand those with just sport seats, decisions decisions
