Was carbon dipped by Wicked Coatings in Poole.
In hindsight I may have had it all clear wrapped to prevent any chips damaging the underside but we'll see.
Gets mighty hot and so far nothing out of the ordinary like heat craze or discolouration either. At £350 I thought it a good punt and I'm glad i did now - looks great in the flesh!
Going for the airboxes and maybe the engine side panels next I think.

Looks superb. Was going to have it done to my spider but the weave was ever so slightly different to the OEM carbon fibre rear grill I have. I don't suppose anyone else would of notice but its one of those kind of details that would really bug me.
You seem to have got a really good price as I was qouted £850 for the diffuser and the 2 top grey plastic side parts on the engine cover.
The underside of my diffuser was relatively chip free so provided its a fairly hard lacquer finish I think you will be ok
My Lamborghini LP570-4 Performante Edizione Tecnica is covered in real carbon fibre and it is a thing of beauty as well as bringing most of the 65Kg weight saving.

You seem to have got a really good price as I was qouted £850 for the diffuser and the 2 top grey plastic side parts on the engine cover.
The underside of my diffuser was relatively chip free so provided its a fairly hard lacquer finish I think you will be ok

Yes the weave is slightly different but unless someone really looked it's all uniform otherwise. Had the two engine grilles done and the front bumper splitter too. The finish is really superb and the process has improved leaps and bounds from even just a year ago. What happens when it starts to wear, scrape etc, is it a respray to put it back to original or is there a way of removing it ?

Easy to remove, 5 x 10mm bolts in line at the front of the diffuser and 6 x 4mm allen bolts, 2 at the sides and 4 along the back edge. I usually remove everything apart from the centre front 10mm and one of the rear 4mm's then support the diffuser while removing the those last two. 5 minute job.John.
