I am not surprised the 360 is the last of the the breed of relativly pure ferrari what would they ask for this in red and cream...?
IMO 355's were the ones.

Exactly! No traction control and pop up headlights!

Looking at the classifieds 355's definitely seem to be picking up in price and it's not even spring yet

Next 5 years should be interesting

F355 was the last "pretty" Ferrari. Its a classic look that still looks timeless today. I always liked the 348 but the F355 took it on a step further and cleaned up the little fussy late 80's look.

There is a lot of talk, mainly by CS owners of their cars being worth £200k well I can tell you now that figure won't buy my F355GTS manual. Not that it bothers me because I will never sell but F355 has got to be a sound investment as values will only continue upwards

+1.

I have had a 328, a 550 and currently have F355. I would no more own a 360 than I would buy a toupee (Although a CS is an exception). It was the first ugly Ferrari and it is, if you will forgive me, a fatty.

Couldn't agree less, I think the 360 is aging well. Rather than being a fatty I'd say it looks purposeful.
With regard last of breed surely the 458 is the car, it'll be the last normally aspirated V8!

Really?
My opinion is based on my ownership of a few Ferraris and besides its an opinion which is a personal thing so neither right or wrong!

The 355 is a lovely looking car but no real different to a 308 / 328 if you squint a bit, looks are in the eye of the beholder and all that however the 360 is far better built than the other two, and goes and stops far better as well.

F355 is a very different car to drive. Try a three point turn in a 308/328 vs a 355, you'll notice the power steering. Of course looks are in the eye of the beholder, but dimensions are not: 360 vs 355

Width +2cm,
Length +22cm,
height +4cm

the largest increase in the volume/dimensions of any "consecutive" Ferrari model, ever (I think, but it is late and I may be wrong!). And 360 was subsequently made smaller during its production run; from 2003 they shaved a few bits off the car, a tacit admission of portliness?

I had assumed so, but deferred to the power of Wikipedia.

Given that the 3mm difference in length is all in the wheelbase I think we can assume that it is incorrect.
