I'm looking for the wisdom of the collective....

I believe the last X amount (possibly 100?) 355's came with the Fiorano handling package.

Is there a way of checking if a car is one of these last cars?

Was the Fiorano pack ever retro fitted or fitted as an option, how can you tell if it has the pack fitted?

Thanks,

Chris.

I've had the fiorano pack fitted to my car, but that was a rare thing to get hold of. Doubt there are any other '96 spiders with it.

Thanks Johnny / Jonty,

Not relevant any more, I put a deposit down today on a 355 F1 Spider (different car non Fiorano), 3-4 weeks before its ready for collection, it's going to be a long wait. Hopefully some better weather coming!

Cheers,

Chris.

The Fiorano Handling Pack option for the F355 which consisted of (amongst other bits) a race ecu, lowered, stiffer springs, thicker roll bars, quicker steering rack, cross drilled discs all round complemented with harder pads and red calipers.

Throughout the life of the F355, a very few U.K rhd cars were spec'ed with this expensive option, however, on the very final run of the model in spring 1999 16 definitive U.K Fiorano cars were produced; 13 x F1 versions and 3 x manual versions...a call to a Ferrari dealer service manager with the chassis number is a quick way to confirm if one of these.

All in all a very small number have this fantastic option, and very rarely appear for sale.

Congrats on your purchase of a 355, and I hope this info may help someone in the future.

Thanks folks,

Jonty, I know your meaning about cars you can't part with, Iv'e had my TVR 24 years this year!

Bob, Red with cream leather and black carpets, from The Supercar Rooms.

355SG, Great info, the original one in question is at a dealer in Essex, Fiorano pack, drilled discs... it's a 99 F1 Spider, if it is what it's claimed (I have no reason to believe otherwise) then it's a great buy for someone, I was just put off by reading the advert and advertised price, then to be told if I wanted in the condition of the advert add 5K to the advertised price! Seemed odd, and I lost confidence.

Anyway very much looking forward to collecting the car.

Thanks again,

Chris.

Collected the car on Saturday, three months later than promised!!!

A terrific occasion and unbelievably smooth drive, I had reservations about the F1 gearbox, but can only say its utterly fantastic, so good.

Not quite as good as some of the attention it attracts! 15 mins into the journey home I was sorted out by an Audi A6 with hidden flashy blue lights! Speeding in a 70, lady plod was great, quick slap to the back of the legs and told to behave, plod commented 'lovely car'. TBH reactions from public have been very positive.

Roll on next weekend.....

Regards,

Chris.

No decent pictures yet, was too busy driving it over the weekend, here's a couple, but they aren't very good.

Little lad loves it 'it's red and not got a roof'...

Back in its bed until next weekend...

Will try to get some better pictures at the weekend.

Regards,

Chris.

lovely car ...

well worth investigating some of the handling pack parts ...

most of them are available from eurospares as separate parts ... you just have to read a little when you are given the options...

I just did the opposite actually, my challenge springs were two hard so i put FHP springs on....

The fast rack is the thing that makes a huge difference....

brakes i cant comment on (i have f40LM brembos lol)

jonty knows alot about this stuff his 'love banana' has a great setup judging by the way he drives it .... (go decat tooo... lovely flames)
