Has anyone managed to get a device where you can connect to the ipod connector and stream via bluetooth?

This little gadget was great but they no longer make them and I can't find one anywhere in the UK...Gutted as had one that I gave away with my DB9 and it worked flawlessly!

https://www.amazon.co.uk/ViseeO-Tune2air-WMA1000-c...

I bought this and connected it today with no issues however even though the car shows the Ipod option I can't select it frown

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00K29K4DC/ref=pe_3857...

Anyone else managed to find something? Planning a trip across Europe with SWMBO and this would make life a bit easier as she can control what she wants to listen to smile

I think you can use any number of the cheap FM modulator/ bluetooth units but the sound reproduction is not brilliant, I use one for my iPad sat nav and it works OK for that.

It's frustrating that bluetooth streaming isn't enabled yet it is on the Speciale and California which has the same basic system, might be worth talking to a dealer or similar with an SD3 to see if it could be activated?

I did see that but i don't think it will work as it's very specific to the car's mentioned (Audi, VW and Mercedes). Could give it a try I guess as free returns. I'll order one and see how it goes.

I would really like to know the answer to this one. By the way, there seem to be heaps of the ViseeO Tune2air WMA1000 unit mentioned above on eBay. Did that really work? If so I am definitely ordering one.

I can only see two (used) being sold by UK sellers. All the rest seem to be in the USA?

get it from wherever you can. Only cost effective solution. Works well but not amazing as sometimes it stutters.

Ordered one on eBay from the US. Will report back. Well when 458 gets back from TLC and black gloss roof wrap anyway.

Presumably you need the factory iPod cable option fitted for this to work?

Not yet but my car is in Hurst in Belfast until next week anyway so you'll get to try it first.

Ok it's here and connected and is bloody great! Works straight out of the box and streaming Tunein Radio (DAB), Spotify/Amazon Music and iphone music without any issues. In fact the sound quality seems better than my music I saved to the hard drive of the car! Great bit of kit smile

Yes, it plugs straight in to the old type iphone plug connector. They stopped making these now which is why I had to find one in the USA and order it here as it's apparently the only reliable solution for bluetooth streaming in the 458. The amazon link in my first post is now back alive and there seems to be stock available in the UK. It cost me £90 from the US!
