Looking for some help please.

I have a 488 GTB coming soon now and am looking for some insurance cover that will allow me to do 4-5k miles per annum with 3-4 track days per year as well...

Ive had this type of policy last year with Aviva on a GTR and it worked great for me, but so far ive not found any broker that can provide this for me, saying that ive only tried a couple so far, but I don't want to leave it till the car arrives to start searching for the right policy.

Im 45, live in the countryside and have many years experience driving fast cars with track use as well so I personally don't think im high risk in myself. Also got 13+ yrs no claims as well.

Any advice welcomed.

Depending on track day organiser Locktons FOC policy should cover you - I think there have been a few other insurance threads recently both under Ferrari V8 & McLaren (similar cars / similar use) - eg https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=16... & https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=16... - enjoy !

A few years back I used Competition Car Insurance through RK Harrison and that included 5 track days from quite a long list of providers.
They might be worth a look. Big excess for track days though frown

Yeah...ive tried CC as my GTR was thru them...but they are now moved to some over Towergate company and have not excelled themselves so far with my enquiry.

Ive tried another broker who went straight to Aviva, but they will not cover the 488 for me on track so im not really interested...Also wanted a whacking great premium of 2.3k for it for 5000 road miles..

Manning Uk is the company to use.
As many Track days as you like so long as they are ATDO affiliated and i would expect you wouldn't pay more than £1500. I don't and i am 40.

I have my Speciale insured with Mannings, and feel they know what they're doing.

The car is garaged, has a tracker fitted, 5,000 miles per annum, with me the sole driver fully comp., with UK track day cover (excess jumps to £25k for track use). Year one cost me £2,700.

For year two, I upped the agreed value to £350k, and the premium was £3,000, same cover.

Hopefully I'll never have to put the policy to the test, but Mannings have been professional and knowledgeable throughout.

Mannings is the one it seems. a little bit pricey in my mind...1% of car value...but good cover and any uk ATDO trackday included...which suits me fine.

Got a great quote from NFU today...really competitive and good quality insurance. However NOTE...they do not offer any trackday insurance for any car...

Anyone with info to the contrary please email/pm me...but info I have is NFU are looking for some sort of track cover in the future, but right now its a definite NO.

Ended up with Manning insurance...a fair bit more money but cover for any uk trackday any time, so long as its an ATDO covered day.

Don't even need to ring them about doing it.

Some Europe cover as well but have to pay extra for that. No ring cover though before anyone asks.

Give them a try.

Is that an agreed value policy?
Been looking for a reasonably priced one of those for a while for the 360, best I'd found was closer to 2.5%
