Good find.

To be honest the whole "sold as seen" coming from a dealer, on a car like this, would - as said - immediately ring MASSIVE alarm bells.

Thanks all. I have booked the Tuscan in for its engine rebuild, nice Christmas present for her. Sorry Stu, looks like the Cerb is staying too.

the rear clamshell has been repainted, normally nothing serious, but strange if they "forget" to paint those sections in black... so it hasn't been done professionally!

this is how it should look like

It may not have been painted exactly how the factory painted it, with black sections in the slot, but that doesn't mean it wasn't painted professionally, it just means it wasn't painted to be factory correct!

There could be a number of reasons for that:

1) It was repainted by a repair shop that doesn't normally deal with Ferrari's.
2) A previous owner didn't want to pay extra for the masking up and extra paint required.
3) A previous owner simply preferred the colour coded look (not every Ferrari is so precious about their car that absolutely everything has to be factory correct!)

One of the big problems with this car, along with all of the LHD imports from Europe, is that there is very little traceability for any accident repairs whilst the car was in its original Country, and they will not show up any issues on a HPI search.

In the same way, a couple of weeks ago there was a "bargain" Ferrari California for sale on ebay that was advertised as being "Ideal for export".

The reason it was "Ideal for export" was because it was a CAT B write off that could never be put back on the road in the UK ever again, and should have been scrapped off. However, it had been "repaired", and was ready to sell to some poor unsuspecting buyer in a foreign Country, who chances are, would never know that they were in fact buying a car that should no longer exist.

That's been stuffed into something backwards. The "corners" of the rear wings that blend into the upper grille (the bit with the model badge attached) are also blue when they should be black.

Well I can’t find the car advertised, it must have shifted!
