All in my humblest.
So what, in your "humblest" opinion, makes the 348 design so weak? confused

You’re worried about the 348 diss? I’m still trying to recover from the 430 comments!! Wait till someone spots that I also have a 612 and rains on that parade too! wink

Luckily we all have different tastes - and there’s certainly no shortage of 430 or 348 fans. Personally I don’t get the Mac smiling face but I can see why others may. Bizarrely the (initially) controversial 720 styling was the first Mac that I thought was stunning.

Back on topic I guess it depends on the roads you drive but for me, on an empty British country road, 400bhp is more than enough. My 997 at 350bhp is probably my sweet spot and I’ll comfotably peddle along with much more potent cars down a twisty B road. I’ll wager there’s not many here who will ever go full throttle down a good road for more than a couple seconds, and even fewer with TC turned off.

Let’s face it, most people rely on electronics to manage anything over 400bhp. Next time you’re out for a spin, turn the TC off and see just how much throttle you right foot will call on when exiting a corner. I’ll wager the F430 has more than enough.

am also not a fan of the 430 styling (or the 348 for that matter). It looks ok, but imo the 8-cylinder cars before it and after it are better looking.

Wait - you have a 612? ..... No worries - V12's are exempt from any criticism.

BTW, part of the magic of the Macs is the British engineering that goes into getting the power down without unnecessary melodrama in contrast to ,e.g., my old V12 Vantage.

And indeed this is for just a couple of seconds at a time - but then isn't fun driving just made of many such moments, 2-seconds-at-a-time. Stop me before I get into how this is a metaphor for life as well...

F430 is an absolute mess stylistically IMO. No cohesion whatsover.
Yes, entirely; a hideous thing.

Twas tongue in cheek. I like the Spider variants and think the 430 is a fine looking car both in terms of proportions and styling, but then unlike most I really don't like the 360 - I think it looks under-styled and too 'jellymould'. I think the 348 (...bar the rear lights) is much nicer to look at than the 355 - especially with painted lower areas. I don't like the 458, not at all - I find the 488 is better resolved, and I think a rosso Pista is stunning.

The 430 Spider is my pick of the v8's. The right size, the right amount of power for the road, not overly-sanitised like the modern cars, and I think they are stunning - though I wouldn't say no to a 348 as a stable-mate!

You’re right of course, those crazy moments spent outside our comfort zones. beer

There are no wrong answers in the 'Which V8 Ferrari is the prettiest and which is the ugliest?' internet debate.

308
328
348
355
360
430
458
488

4rephill: I find (rightly or wrongly) that the 430 rear is a little high and incohesive. The 348 is probably a very pretty car in isolation, just far from the prettiest in the list above.
