Bump. How are you finding it after a few months of ownership? I'm thinking of buying one for the summer (should it ever arrive!). Love the looks but not driven one. Any feedback, good and bad, from any owners would be much appreciated.

PS gorgeous spec. Congrats.
I am really enjoying the Portofino. I have only done 900 miles since 1st March. A big plus for me is that my wife likes it and finds it comfortable although she hasn't driven it yet. It does mean we are able to go out together in it. It has a lot of power (even after the 488 Spider). It is very usable in many different situations and I am pleased with the colour and spec. I have had a couple of small problems. The DAB is very poor and drives me mad because the radio is always cutting in and out (even around the M25). I also left it standing in my garage for only 10 days without using it and when I came back to it the keys weren't recognised and it wouldn't start. I put it on the charger overnight and everything was fine. That doesn't seem right.

I have two other track focussed cars and the move from the 488 Spider to the Portofino has given me another dimension due to its comfort and usability.

I live in Hertfordshire and you would be welcome to drive it if you wish.

It'd be great if you could keep the thread updated with your thoughts as you get to drive it more.
I came out of a 488 Spider which I owned from new in Dec 2017. I did 1,100 miles in the Spider and it was my first Ferrari. I waited three years for it and although it was a beautiful car and the fulfilment of a boyhood dream I didn’t bond with the car. It had a new turbo at 700 miles and it was very badly looked after by HR Owen which put me off the car.

The Portofino caught my attention because of the looks. I hoped my wife would sell her Boxster S for it but she doesn’t seem keen to let the Boxster go!

Early drives in the Portofino suggest that it is a very comfortable car and very quiet too. I had a Continental GT Speed until last year and I think this is much more a replacement for the Bentley than the 488 Spider.

I will keep you posted but I think this will be used more than the 488.
To be fair their service department is absolutely appalling, I used them in 2012 and vowed never to use them again, I was forced to use them this year as they were the supplying dealer for my 488 Spyder and they were almost as bad as well.

Meridian Modena gets my vote of approval, HR seem to just use apprentices on day release, given a service manual and tool box I could do a better job myself.

Thank you very much for the update.

That is a very kind offer indeed. I may take you up on it (and you can have a blast in my utterly unusable SVJ, hence part of my interest in buying the far less impractical Portofino). Not too concerned about the niggles...funnily enough the DAB cuts out all the time in my wife's G63 to the extent that it's become pointless listening to it. Will drop you a PM this week. Thanks again.

OP, how are you getting on with the Portofino?

I had one for a day recently and absolutely loved it, apart from the overly light steering, the cheap AC controls and low speed manoeuvring.

I eventually took delivery of mine on 1st January and so far I absolutely love it. I’m particularly glad I waited for the Rosso Portofino paint even though that delayed the car six months. I think my 599 will now have to go this year as I just don’t see it getting used.

I am really enjoying the car although it hasn't seen the light of day since October due to the weather being poor. It is going for a service at the end of February so it will come back into more regular use then.

I have a 9 day road trip planned in the summer and we will be going to the West Coast of Ireland. My wife likes the car and finds it comfortable which is a big plus.

I used it a few times to commute into London but that is not where you can enjoy it. I ended up being paranoid about the speed humps, pot holes and cyclists scraping down the side of it in traffic (it happened!).

I am struggling to find something to say about the car that isn't a cliche. The biggest compliment I can pay the car is that I really enjoy driving it and I am proud to say its mine! Oh and I love the colour combo - Rosso Portofino with a black roof.

Maybe time for another gratuitous photograph:

When we ordered ours in late 2018 the Rosso Portofino was £7,104 and the black roof was £4,320 making a total of £11,424.

on close examination there were a couple of stretch marks in the film.
That's just due to poor application.

KDS Keltec would have done it right, had you opted for PPF on the Porto.

How has it been in terms of stone chips, without PPF?

Hi. What did you not like about the 488? (Aside form poor service of HRO)
