430 Scud help/advise
Discussion
Had mine for about 15 months and 9000 miles -
in amongst a plethora of contemporary GT3s. They are a real event to drive, fairly raw but all the better for it IMO. 997GT2 fast, scalpel sharp handling , steering, and great sound track (not track day friendly though)
Mechanically they are strong but mine had lots and lots of warrantied work - so much so that it went before it ran out of warranty.
Bodywork corrosion, fading Carbon Fibre, dropped windscreen wiper, a few electrical gremilins. Not great to be honest

I looked at Scuds before buying my 458 end of last year..A fellow rennlister who's getting a new GT3 RS listed his immaculate 430 Scud in Scuderia red on here a few months ago..It was in Scotland and priced at a very realistic £125K even if it was a LHD car which wouldn't bother me personally..It sold pretty much straight away and i'd have bought it if i hadn't just taken delivery of my 458.
Have you driven a 458 which is an incredibly exciting car to drive and with hyper fast steering/turn in and electric throttle response very involving..
There is a very nicely specced 458 in GS and only 15K miles with full Ferrari SH for sale at Motion 8 Prestige Cars Ltd in Leicestershire, not far from where you live..Real bargain at only £128K and with Ferrari warranty until November..Scoot along to have a look if i was you..

For 15/20 years. The car is sensational. Beautiful to look at and even more enjoyable to peddle and steer. Go get a drive in one, you won’t be disappointed.

HI any one within 100 miles area have a 430 Scud they could take in out in from the midlands.
I can offer a like wise trip out in my 991.2 GT3 if that helps, but really interested in these atm.
Sorry I’m based in Central Scotland so no good for letting you have a go in a 430 Scud.I can offer a like wise trip out in my 991.2 GT3 if that helps, but really interested in these atm.
I’m a big Porsche fanatic and am lucky enough to have a few special 911’s and also driven most of the greats.
You will be blown away by the Scud, it’s so alive to drive. It’s spectacular.
This was my very first run out in the Scud, following a friend on some fantastic roads and his
Fabulous Carrera GT.

You can count yourself a very lucky guy buying that beauty so quickly as i was on the point of enquiring about it...Stunning car IMO and due to being LHD very sensibly priced and even better for euro hooning,,That blue scud looks great.....well done and blast the hell out of it while we have the weather....always pisses me off that when speccing new hardly anyone specs blue on any supercar...Ferrari/Lambo/ Mclaren....all blacks, greys, reds and silver... and the last 10 years white.......would love to know why....tdf blue also looks fantastic on scuds/ specials/stradle etc

I ran a Scud for 12 months alongside a 991.2 GT3 manual, but recently part exchanged the Scud for a Pista.
Scud was a fantastic car, very different in character to GT3 and a real sense of occasion to drive. I loved the noise, handling and gearshift. I really miss it
Did you keep the GT3 ? Scud was a fantastic car, very different in character to GT3 and a real sense of occasion to drive. I loved the noise, handling and gearshift. I really miss it

Pista and GT3 very different beasts. GT3 more usable and fun at lower speeds, Pista way more performance and comfort, greater sense of occasion, feels a lot more sophisticated, but extra width is a pain. In some ways Scud is best of both worlds.
