In Greenford today a chap shouted "your hard mate" I took that as a compliment but perhaps I should have been offended !

I think we’re all missing the fact that when the Hyundai driver shouted “Poof” he was actually having a coming out ceremony hehe

Maybe he was trying to do you a favour, pointing out that you were standing to attention or something?

Best insult/compliment I got was ... Daddy's car, mate? I was about 37 at the time so quite happy. Quite a good one when I was in one of my old Lambo's filling up, some young guy and his girlfriend came up to me. He asked how much it had cost me to rent it. I said it was mine. He gave me a knowing wink and sly smile and wandered off.

Haha I have had the "how much did that cost to rent" one too - was from a guy in a Golf GTI - My answer was "a day costs about the same as yours costs to rent per year"

'About the same as your missus' would have been my answer.

Unfortunately there is always going to be jealously and it should come as no surprise, we're not short of morons in this country.
Another form of it can be from drivers of run of the mill Audis, BMWs, Mercs etc who feel they've been trumped when they see a Ferrari and make a point of coming past you. How dare someone have a more desirable car than their Audi A6!!
