458 and an 8.5 hour drive....
Discussion
Good call OP. The race seats are hard on first acquaintance but can take a full day in the saddle with ease. Your challenge is that that end of the day is where all the fun is. The Old Military road is one crazy rollercoaster. Just tell your wife to hold on tight - while getting some pics for the rest of us.
So bumped into the OP yesterday and managed to check out his stunning 458 before he left North of Aberdeen (That's the bride and groom in the car just now), certainly wet my appetite enough to look through the forums where I stumbled across this thread , what an amazing noise and that's from someone with a capristo exhaust on their V10!
The seats are certainly snug, so will be interesting to hear how their backs are after the return journey!

That was indeed us !
The route over Glenshee was great, you have to take it easy in the Ferrari because you can catch significant air very easily. For the long journey..
Seats are comfy but you do get a little numb after 7hrs
The noise - exhaust etc is fine, in wet mode at 90kmh they dont open so are quiet, but....
the road noise - its SOOOO loud at 90kmh on certain road surfaces, 80-85 helps - ears were ringing after the journey back!
So it was a great time and route! Would i take the M5 next time, most likely

I am planning a little road trip in October, taking a Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera from Norfolk ultimately to Venice, via Lamborghini Museum in Sant’ Agata and back over 7 days. Taking in Geneva and Reims on the way back. I have the Osteopath booked for our return.
Trip report with lot of pics please!gcpeters said:

Try using Bose NC earbuds. They are very effective at killing the motorway drone and you can still hear the engine. The route over Glenshee was great, you have to take it easy in the Ferrari because you can catch significant air very easily. For the long journey..

I assume you were travelling in mph, not km/h....;)
