458 Values - again
Discussion
The 488 finally arrived today - I’m not comparing it to a 458 because I skipped over that from a NA California as I didn’t think it would be enough of a step forward for the price difference. The car is spot on for what I wanted. The sound isn’t a disappointment at all, I love the throaty exhaust note and the wooshing. And as for performance, it’s unbelievable - the turbos give the feeling of virtually always being on boost - so you get that warp speed sensation from very little pedal effort.
Just thought I’d give the 488 a thumbs up for anyone considering one as it seems to fall in the shadows because of the high esteem the 458 is held in.

turns out my old one being advertised wasn't a mistake.
Meriden played real hard ball with me though, I dont believe what they told me but whatever. I bought it back.
Was really tempted for a 488 that is there mind you.

Well done anyway!
Have had mine out of hibernation after 2-3 months and wow what a car I can't see I could ever get shot of it. I have had a roof wrap and.....shock horror I have added some some none standard wheels! Pics coming!

I'm happy enough there s a bit of paint to correct but would of been easier to just keep it last year
I want some aftermarket wheels will be interested to see. I am going to drop mine on the coilovers when i get it. I also have every intention to as you say keep it for a long time.

Was the car still at JCT then or did it end up somewhere else? I'm happy enough there s a bit of paint to correct but would of been easier to just keep it last year

very nice, how was the fitting? do you have a lift fitted? i am going to drop mine 20mm i think
Also for anybody i have started a 458 UK whatsapp group, general chat, advise, meets (hopefully) etc. I am part of the R8 one and it works really well.
I don't have lift I would like to lower it and I actually have some H&R springs but my drive is on a bit of an angle so I'm wary. Might try a 10mm drop when my lift is free at work. Wheels were straight fit but have normal wheel bolts.
Slightly better pic
Did anyone on here buy the drew wheeler car? I called yesterday and it’s just gone...
I’m surprised that there have been some negative comments about silver not being a key colour. I don’t mind it, but I think the 458 certainly looks a lot better in grigio. In fact I’m torn between rosso and grigio.

That is absolutely stunning. The colour just picks up the lines beautifully. The one I’ve been looking at (but not in the flesh yet) is this one (assuming the link works):

Anyone know this car? The seats are a bit marmite, but management gave me a death stare when I told her the race seats aren’t heated, and I think it kind of suits the grigio. Thoughts?
