Any colour but red picture thread
Discussion
Hello @neinfondue no pics yet, but a big thank you for this thread. I too am an Aston owner (DB9) and am currently looking for a F430, the main criteria is that I don’t want a red one. This thread has been been very useful to see alternative colours! Is it just us Aston people, or is there an increasing trend for more non-red Ferraris?

No it's not just you or aston owners. These threads have been going since forums existed. Particularly popular on ferrarichat forums in the early noughties. Were the most popular colours in non red ferraris threads were the blues (TDF).They come around often, but they always are presented like it's an original idea
For some reason these threads always remind me of when Clarkson goes to buy his first ferrari and wants a non red one. "Gggrrree.....red" lol

You are wright, buyers once again are buying the colour they want rather than the colour they think they should have because it's a safe retain colour. I bought and sold a lot of mainly 308's in the 80's and 90's and most were blue, silver ,yellow ,black even 2 brown ones
and 3 in green, The 308 GTS were more common in red, may have had something to do with Magnum ,
Come the late 80's to mid 2000's every Ferrari seem to come in retail red with cream interior,Try finding a none red 328 , In the late 80's hype most blue ,silver cars got painted red but never looked wright with there blue leather interiors.
Seems to have come full circle and we are back to buying none red Ferrari's,
Infact the larger V12 Ferrari's were never popular in red ,they just didn't look wright being to big and buyers much preferring
more conservative colours.
When i was looking for a 430 i ideally wanted grey, silver or black and took some time to find the wright car that
wasn't red, Problem with any dark colour they are not kind to the wear and tear and show every mark, stone chip and scratch . ,
Took a lot of wasted trips looking at very average overpriced cars before i found the wright one.
Mind you that was 3 years ago and prices have softened some what since then.
Good luck with your search.
