Verde Zeltweg 360 on PH

I love that colour combo but it is rare on a 360 for a reason. There are a couple of much more saleable rosso 360s with a manual box currently on the market for a lower asking price.
By comparison, a fellow PH'er recently bought a totally sorted Nero F1 from a respected specialist, with same mileage, for lowish 5's.
As said, you need a PPI when buying one of these. I'd want to get to the bottom of why its had a complete respray; fastidious owner or accident damage? Being sold by a dealer but ad says private sale?
That’ll be me. It wasn’t totally sorted, looks like the dome light bulb had blown......By comparison, a fellow PH'er recently bought a totally sorted Nero F1 from a respected specialist, with same mileage, for lowish 5's.

The car I bought had been for sale for a while, as many have. I have watched the market for over 12 months.
You need to kiss some frogs to find the right car.
I know the car, or at least a previous owner. He bought it following a 612 if I remember correctly.
When he had it, it was absolutely stunning. This would be getting on for ten years ago however.
I seem to recall the clutch failing on a track day once but I think it was the slave cylinder that needed replacing.
I don’t think he’s on pistonheads, or at least doesn’t post. I’m not sure what else he could add, it was a long time since he owned it.
He does generally post the advert on Facebook once a year when it inevitably comes back on the market, he always fancies buying it back but I suspect he sold it around the £40k mark back then!

I think that's a pretty generous offer. I guess the seller is waiting for the return of 2016 prices. They do seem to be on the rise post lockdown.robsco said:
Thanks all for the responses. Though the car is my ideal spec, there are a few issues I have with the way it is marketed. As someone above states, the car has done nearer 44k miles than 42, a year's mileage. The photos are poor, dirty carpets etc. Over 3 years on sale. It doesn't fill me with confidence. We have discussed price and I can get it down to a price I'd be comfortable at, but there's just something about the vendor that doesn't sit right with me.
I have spoken with Nick Cartwright specialist cars this morning about a TDF F430 they have available and have arranged to view on Thursday. I just need to determine which car I prefer, I'm hoping to look at one of their manual 360s while I'm there. I don't think I'd be interested in an F1 360, based on budget its either manual 360 or F430 F1.
I would be interested to hear of what you make of that car, I so almost went to see it, but couldn't quite get on with the seats.I have spoken with Nick Cartwright specialist cars this morning about a TDF F430 they have available and have arranged to view on Thursday. I really wanted a manual TDF 360, but non were available. Then I saw my 430 and fell in love.

Nick had a 360 Spyder in Verde Zeltweg around a year ago and sold it almost immediately ,remember because the one you mentioned I have spoken with Nick Cartwright specialist cars this morning about a TDF F430 they have available and have arranged to view on Thursday. on here was for sale at the same time, you could have had a matching pair.
Like you i was looking for a manual 360, thought i bought one but the seller had a change of heart about selling so ended up with a
Nero Daytona F430 ,would have preffered a manual but at the time the prices between them was £20/£30 ,think the gap now is considerably less.

Briefly considered a DB9 but decided they didn't get my heart racing enough to warrant changing.
Yep, having owned a F355 Spyder and a DB9 Volante only the Italian machine got me excited.BTW that TDF 430 Nick is selling looks fab and quite possibly the best pick out of 360s and 430s currently for sale. Maybe priced to sell rather than stuck in stock over the winter.

I don't think it's price has changed in over two years, so I'm doubtful BTW that TDF 430 Nick is selling looks fab and quite possibly the best pick out of 360s and 430s currently for sale. Maybe priced to sell rather than stuck in stock over the winter.
It did look stunning when I viewed it back then, and if it had been fitted with carbon buckets I'd probably have bought it.

Surely it’d be better to see it and / or have it inspected before expecting the vendor to take an offer seriously?2 GKC said:

As a newcomer then, why are these cars, which seem super desirable at first glance, hanging around so long? I expected with the Ferrari brand you’d have a queue of people wanting to buy a genuine car.
Ultimately it must be down to price surely? Anything will sell if the price is right. That said, sometimes cars hang around and then people think they haven't sold because there must be a story (which sometimes there is and sometimes there isn't). jtremlett said:

That said, sometimes cars hang around and then people think they haven't sold because there must be a story (which sometimes there is and sometimes there isn't). I specifically wanted a car which wasn't "resale red", but I also wanted a car with ceramic brakes and the carbon fibre seats.
The colour was acceptable, the mileage likewise, but the lack of the correct seats was deal breaker for me.
