I'd rather not bother with an ICE supercar tbh and if petrol becomes stupidly expensive or inaccessible I'll just take the hit on selling all of my cars, get an electric S class and then call it a day with driving cars for fun. it is what it is and some things dont last forever
i will be joining you. If i cant hear the engine roar, the crackle of the exhaust, and the almighty shove on each gear change, then driving for fun is no longer. Every roadtest and youtube video that i have read and watched, all conclude that once you get used to the initial acceleration of EVs, they are dull and totally uninspiring to drive - the are white goods basically to take you from A to B.

F8's are becoming common place in the classifieds, not good news if you are thinking of buying new, hoping it retains some of its value yikes

Can someone spec a white spyder and sell it £25k below list when they become bored with it - all the cars on the market are red "whats that about"

If you want one in your exact spec I'd suggest you buy a new one and pay accordingly otherwise you'll need to put up with what others have chosen.

14/29 on auto trader are red.

That would be about right for a V8 mid engine, no?

(A cynic might think that the dealers ordered them that way as they had nobody to buy the cars the factory foisted on them)

I'm in the market to potentially buy an F8, either new order or used stock.

Market seems to have firmed up or the dealers are trying to raise the market?

Never owned a Ferrari or followed the market for them much, but I'm guessing with the 296 GTB already announced, a new order would be suicide?

Being quoted Q1/Q2 delivery for next year.

There is often a window of demand especially for the spider about a year after launch as the next model has not arrived yet - in this case it is unlikely 296 GTS (or whatever it ends being called) will arrive in significant numbers before summer 2023 finishes thereby creating a spring 2023 sales window for F8 spider for those who need as new as possible for the summer - in other words one of the last F8 spider may hold well for its second summer

My dealer says Q1 2023 for first 296 availability, earlier in LHD markets which suggests the F8 has a year or so left to run. I have no idea what the order backlog is for them but you can imagine the order book being closed in the next few months. The Roma and Portofino M are made on the same line and I suppose they will be hybridised once the 296 is up and running. I did wonder whether there would be a “pista” version of the F8, a last gasp for the V8. Who knows?

The V12 line will keep going with the Competizione cars (1500 in all?) which will take them, I think, into 2023.

They certainly have their work cut out over the next few years…

Should have said, I'm after a Coupe.

I'm not worried about losing money on it, it's a given, but would be good not to loose a fortune due to poor timing.

Anyone heard of Roma order discounts?
They are now appearing in classifieds and ‘clearing price’ seems to be sub £200k

Doesn't really surprise me as i wasn't that impressed when i drove one. Who in his right mind would pay the asking £230-240k for one when you can buy an 812 for the same money. At £200k they make sense however never heard of new to order Roma discounts.

I'd be stunned if they aren't available.

My dealer has been harassing me for a year now to engage in various demonstration activities.

F8/Roma/Portofino alike.

The problem with these new Ferraris is that they're just a bit boring.

My lusso has turned me into a gentleman driver (on the road at least..), and I've gone off the mid-engined flashier stuff. Never really liked Roma at launch, but have started to want one. Huracan would be swapped over,

Agree 812 is a better buy, but Roma and Lusso make more sense than 812 and Lusso, which I plan to keep long term and put many miles on.

I was offered one a couple of months back with £20k off a £210k car. My understanding was it was a cancelled order stock car, with the discount being the £20k ‘lost’ deposit. I.e. not really a discount. Obviously things might have moved on, but would be amazed if 10% off factory order.
