As per title...i had a lp700 now sadly sold.
The Aventador is such an iconic car with a massive following but it has one of the quietest forums on pistonheads.
I still can't understand it?
Can someone enlighten me why ferrari forums are full of like minded chat but lambo v12/Aventador forums are silent.
Anyway pic of my gone but not forgotton

I dont think there are many aventador owners on here to be honest.
Probably less than 10 (at least regular posters anyway)

I know it’s boring of me to say, but, OP you’re averaging 2 posts a month across all of PH. If you want content, create it .. maybe others will follow smile

could be that most Ferrari owners like to brag about owning a car?

We're too busy enjoying our V12's wink

It's not just PH, the Aventador sections on two Lambo forums are dead as well. Whereas the Huracan sections are booming. My guess is the majority of Aventador owners are older and don't go on the forums.

Pistonheads forums are a lot less popular now! so many things you are not allowed to say, unless your face fits ranting

Let's face it, Fezzas are way more common than Lambos. And trolls. I used to post photos of my Diablo GT, but someone moaned that's all I ever did, so I stopped.

That is a shame. I am sure it was your car, I have a picture of it with the No Fat Chicks sticker.

My son loved it.

God I am getting old, he is 17 soon and I took that picture at Castle Hedingham

Hahaha ain't that the truth, it's like the Mclaren forum really is bell end central, coupled with certain people who are clearly senile and have lost the plot it's not a fun place to be.

Back to the OP's question, to be fair when I had my V12s there wasn't a lot to moan about and it did everything it says on the tin per say, I think you buy one of these knowing exactly what it's all about, a big loud shouty Lamborghini that makes you feel like an excited little boy everytime you drive it, admittedly it's no track toy but I don't think you buy a V12 with the intentions of taking it on track

What I have seen from going on a lot of Lambo tours, every car there is less than 18 months old, and 70%+ V12. Without exception I cannot think of any owner except me that does car forums. Their kids yep, but they usually have multiple expensive cars and would not care less what other people think about the cars. Not sure if that changes for the used market.

V12 owners tend to be older and generally much wealthier, less about lifestyle and hobby for them than a lot of car people living the dream of a supercar purchase. They just don’t have the time or inclination to socialise on the internet for no gain to themselves.

I know a number of them have tried pistonheads though and have said that people with no experience of the cars kept telling them they were wrong about their own cars so why bother.....

A lot of truth spoken there. The only exception being for me I'm still in my thirties (just). But honestly I don't know why I bother with this place and can see why your pals gave up too.

+1.

I also feel as MSRPs increase on new Lambo models, the less chatter online because most of the owners buying these cars will be older and don't care or have time for social media and forums. LP is a ghost town, Lambo-Talk is active but it's mostly G or Huracan talk. Even STO discussion is among a few members because there's not many young owners out there that can afford to buy a STO.

Anyway getting the thread back on track here's one of my old SVJ roadster, I personally preferred my SV as imo the sports exhaust sound was on a different planet, it seemed like they toned it down on the SVJ although it didn't have this upgrade, this is the car that Rod Stuart purchased.
