How many miles did you Ferrari have on it when you got it?
Discussion
There's a good chance they're might be another stampede when the lockdown is eased so I wouldn't assume those cars will still be there. In July when I bought mine jct sold 6 458s in as many days. An indie I went to was unable to process the finance due to the sheer amount of people buying it was a crazy time. Might not be as marked this time but lockdown end coupled with the onset of sorting it could be busy. In my business I'm holding off doing any really keen deals for these reasons.

We will have to wait and see. I won’t rush into getting a car that’s not perfect. The weather is getting better and il be happy being out on the WR450 until the perfect one comes. fridaypassion said:
Hey Adam I follow you on FB I'm just up the road in Wakefield if you wanted a chin wag at some point. I have a 458 I got in June last year 17500 miles have done 2500 odd in it and plan on many more this year. I bought from JCT with the 2 year warranty and intend to drive it as much as possible. They are pretty reliable generally just be prepared for a 20 to 30k rinse over 3 years to own it (unless prices go up) worth every penny I think for the experience of owning an F car. I've come to the conclusion that I will probably have mine a long time as there's nothing else out there really that has the drama and excitement of the 458. The newer F cars and Mclarens are quicker but there's something about the 458 I can't see ever being able to part with mine.
Wakefield you say? Which part out of interest I’m down in outwood areaadamellisdj said:
Bang on 1000 miles a year ha.
I hear the 355 is a money pit with huge repair bills. I think the car guys latest 355 bill was just shy of £20k
Any plans to sell it?

Will look to acquire another V8 mid-engined car later this year; thinking either McLaren 12C/ 650S or a 458.

there are 3-4 458 buyers on this forum alone. All just waiting for spec etc or a bit of movement. I offered on a car last week but was 5k apart. I am happy to wait.
It only takes one buyer, Modena had 2 458s for 6 months, both sold in the same week a month ago
Yeah rushing into an £150k investment isn’t a good idea. It only takes one buyer, Modena had 2 458s for 6 months, both sold in the same week a month ago

The 355 has a bad reputation because some people bought neglected examples for 20-odd grand ten years ago and expected Mondeo running costs.A £20k spend isn't unknown but indicates that the car was totally shagged due to years of skimping on maintenance. Must have been full engine rebuild with lots of new parts.
I think you need to stop getting all your info from click bait YouTube vids, listen to owners, and call or visit garages.

I ran a F355 for less than £1k pa for 3 years and the only non-routine cost was a duff spark plug.
The thing about the 355 is that its fairly simple to work on and designed to be puled apart periodically, so things are (broadly) accessible and you can see and replace worn or corroded parts as and when you see them. So, all the nuts and bolts are in decent condition and not rusted solid or caked in grime.
Its odd but I have no issues stripping the engine on the 355 but I wouldn't fancy tackling my M3...
