Is is a conservation area? I thought planning laws were getting more relaxed.

There seems to be plenty of space to the left side. I'd sending them a new amended drawing and reapply. After a while they some times back down.

I did have a bigger garage available for it, but the owner wanted it back. Planners wont let me increase the size of my garage frown
You must have nerves of steel as well as quads biggrin

On what grounds won’t they let you modify the property. I live in an AONB and had a two storey garage built. That was based on the old garage on the other side of the property being removed.

Conservation area, AONB

Even had my head of planning at work look at it.

Mind you even with consent it would be expensive to do for a small gain. Especially as we plan to move in a year or so.

I had a side door in my garage so if you opened it in advance you could drive the car in and open the car door as normal making it easier to get out.

Still a faff but it's a relatively cheap option for those with a skinny garage :-)

They look nice and cosy together ,looks a tight fit but at least there out of the elements.

A clean looking 1975 208 GT4 sold at Dores and Rees auction last week for £30K ,

still on it's Roma plates but with all duties paid looked good value .

Probably a better buy than the Mondial convertible that didn't sell.

1st drive of 2023 to its annual service and MOT.

Still absolutely in love with this thing. Cornering is unreal, the way you feel the frequency of the road buzzing through the steering and seat yet it filters out all the pot holes and imperfections.

Fitted all 4 of us and our luggage including scooters / skates for the kids comfortably. Ferrari did so well with this car!

Massively underrated car.
Super comfy , powerful and the best noise.
You can’t sling it through corners but it’s a great big cruiser - I think one to go up in value soon

Cheers Nick. Have you decided if you're getting an F430 or keeping you 360?

I decided against the 430 I was looking at and I am not sure a 430 is enough of a step up performance wise. I could use the same money to go for a Mclaren which is a performance and tech step up. But I also fancy a convertible so found myself browsing 360 spiders this morning.

Thats a long way of saying - I am on the fence, bit not convinced a 430 is worth the extra over the 360, its still an oldish car. Maybe I should just plan to go 458 when funds allow.

Ferrari, despite having been brilliant to date, let me down last week, promised to supply a part, charged me £1000 +VAT, faffed about for 6 weeks and have now said that I cant have the part because the machine in the factory that programmes said part has been broken for 6 months and they don't know when it will be fixed. They said that if I leave my car with a dealer for an indefinite amount of time, they may eventually be able to get their act together!

I don't need the part desperately, but would like it, but not taking my car off the road for months during the summer!

430 prices are the lowest they have been in years, and in my view will start increasing over the coming couple of years. The 430 is streets ahead of the 360 in terms of handling, modernity and refinement, and shares the same engine as the 458, for a fraction of the price. I would say if you can afford one, move now - there's plenty in the classifieds.
I've driven a 458 - a superb car but a little bit too "PlayStation" for my liking - it's on the cusp where the electronics take over the spirit of the car. And its not worth a 50% price hike on a 430.
I'm based in South Africa, and just love driving on these roads!

What part are you waiting for Nick that needs programming?
