Buying a 360 / F430

Mine has the Challenge headers and the rest is standard, still cheeky though. It'll be a sad day when I finally sell it.
Suprised that's all it takes to make it that noisy, so still running the standard exhaust and cats .Well don't sell it,not unless you are replacing it with something else on your wish list or better still ad that to your garage.

Taking mine out tomorrow if it’s as good as predicted. I still go “bloody hell” when I fire it up in the garage,
and it’s doing the warm up, with the capristo sound 3.
It’s like a 70’s f1 car, outrageous
Walked from Maranello's across the road to Scuderia in Egham on the day i collected the 430 with buying a stage 3 Capristo in mindand it’s doing the warm up, with the capristo sound 3.
It’s like a 70’s f1 car, outrageous
but was disappointed to be told by Maranello's that there may be the off chance that if a claim was made on the 2 year warranty with
the fitting of a none Ferrari part may jeopardise a claim so i didn't bother but on telling Scuderia they were very unhappy with Maranello's
saying they have fitted plenty of their custumers cars with after market exhausts and nothing was said, shame really as i probably
missed out on all the fun as i never really liked the standard exhaust note thinking the 360 sounded so much better,
Maybe just as well as i don't think i could have stopped at just the stage 3 wanting to go the whole way with headers and de -cat
which wouldn't have been cheap and not recovered the cost when i sold it,in fact may of hindered the sale to someone who thought
the standard exhaust was sufficiently noisy.
Enjoy the drive tomorrow we won't get many more days like these,

Have a listen, see what you think:Well don't sell it,not unless you are replacing it with something else on your wish list or better still ad that to your garage.
It's not Capristo daft, still very natural but definitely louder.

Probably would be not so much too noisy with the whole system changed but being a spyder might drone with no escape from it
unlike the coupe where you can be slightly insulated from it., Even the standard exhaust would be noisier in a spyder i should imagine.

This is the current front runner (the reviews for the other garage were not that positive) https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/13367629
Beautiful. Love the carbon seats and the CS wheels. These are sought after and valuable options. The only negative for me is 10 stamps in 19 years is a bit light perhaps.pmanson said:

Well doneI drove one of these in 2003. It was a red F1 spyder. The gearbox was absolutely rubbish until I found the sport button and then the car came alive.
I didn't like the soft top - sorry. In the up position it looks like something from a cheap kit car. If it were me it would have to be a coupe.
Good luck with it
I hope you many happy miles together

The black spider with CS wheels and carbon seats? If it's the car I'm thinking of then it needs a clutch urgently before it wipes the synchros out. Please feel free to give me a call if you want any more info.voicey said:

Well done on the purchase, I wondered why this car despite its spec has hung around for months unsold and that might explain it. Hope you were able to negotiate the clutch being done as part of the deal based on the insight above. Enjoy in good health!
Talking to the dealer when we looked at the car there was plenty of interest in the car but people struggling to get finance THey're just trying to find out if the clutch has been done, if not we'll need to look at the agreed price again. It didn't show up on the test drive, but it's been a long time since I drove a manual and we were on residential streets (not fast changing high in the rev range)

You’d have to be mental to try and finance a car like these.THey're just trying to find out if the clutch has been done, if not we'll need to look at the agreed price again.
