Not a 355 owner but a 348 owner for nearly 20 years now and a 458 owner for nearly the last 5 years, before that F430 for 5 years.
The 348 hardlery gets used, like sub 200 miles a year if that. I have put 15,000 miles on the 458, i just always reach for the 458 keys.
Op i think if you could keep the 355 and get a 458 you would do the same, but i get it as i can see maybe the 458 going before the 348 does.
Tough call i know but for me the newer models always get used more, i have done a lot of EU trips in both the F430 and the 458 with the wife, we both love it, for many reasons i have not taken the 348 out of the UK and its not because i dont trust it, it's mainly as it would be hard work and would take the fun out if the trip.
So for me of you sold the 355 and got a 458 you would use it more which has got to be a positive.

I had the same but with the 348 and 355, I did enjoy my 348 but it went and it’s not something I regret, the 355 is one of, if not the best sounding Ferrari, the soundtrack alone is enough for me to pick up the keys over my more modern car.The 348 hardlery gets used, like sub 200 miles a year if that. I can see what your saying regardimg the 348 being hard work on a trip, but the 355 has power steering so it’s not quite as
Comparable.
