Picked mine up last week. Driven straight to Denmark via some German roads. Being a practical car it was loaded up with 5 cases, a road bike, 3 arm chairs (B&B Italia, not Ikea in case the furniture quality police are reading) a box with a lamp in it and five other small bags. Apart from being full of stuff meaning it had the blind spot of a luton van it was impeccable. May 15 car. grey with tan leather (covering everything, boot, roof the lot) . I've wanted one since Ferrari took me to Millbrook for the launch (don't buy the ex-demo cars that went to millbrook, mine had all four wheels off the ground on the mountain road in the hands of the instructor..) I've spent a few months hunting the right one, in part encouraged by watching Shmee's FF exploits. (Tim, Meridien owe you a drink)
Looks fantastic and a great colour/hide combo. Glad to hear you're using the practicality well too

Does anyone have a pic of a baby seat in the rear of an FF, ISOFIX?

I had one, but unfortunately can't find it anymore. If it helps, I can ask what seat I had in there - it fit nicely.

Why would they not bottom out roughly where 456s have?

Because the purchase price new is much higher, the build quality is much better and the package compared with other Ferraris will always make it more valuable than a 456.
I do agree that the one unknown is durability of fwd.
I would have thought FF's will bottom out at around £75k rather than sub £30k for a 456.
Show me where I can buy a 456 for 30k or less and I will jump at it!!! wink

I hope you are right, but am having a hard time believing somebody will pay 75k for my 200k km mileage, 12 year old FF in 2024.

I had a recaro monks nova is in the rear ISO fix. Just about the only 4 seat special car the seat sits right in! Everything else other than GTC they sit on an angle.

Can any FF owners tell me if it's possible to put the car in neutral and release the handbrake without starting the engine? Mine is arriving from Japan in a container shortly and I am weighing up the best way to get it out. If possible I'd like to wheel it out but if it's anything like my other modern cars then it won't be possible to select neutral without the engine running.

Thanks in advance,
Bryn.

I just went to check - I could only release the handbrake but not put it in neutral. maybe ask a Ferrari dealership as quite possibly there is some way to do it to wheel cars in and out of trucks

Isn't there something in the Owners Manual about towing which might be relevant here ?

I had to laugh today when I read CAR magazine descrive the FF as a "Z3M Coupe which has been battered with a spatula".

I love them.

In the boot there are two holes and tools, one for manually releasing the park brake, and one to put the gearbox into neutral.

Instructions are in the owners manual.

Had to do this once when gearbox went wrong and car was recovered.

Great, thanks. I've already bought my English language owners manual so I'll check it out. My next problem is trying to squeeze past the car to the boot as it must be almost the width of the container!

Bit of an afterthought, but might be worth deleting the posts above incase anyone unsavoury is every looking for that info. Unlikely admittedly but maybe best to be on the safe side.

Cheers,
Bryn.

Hi all, just looking at getting myself an ff in the next month or two and just wondering how the long term owners are getting on? Anyone done more than 30-40k miles etc, any issues with higher milages etc?
The prices are holding up very well from what I can tell as I too (a few years ago) thought they would be much closer to £100k by now.
Also looks like Bertie's car is for sale?
Cheers Russell.

Yes, it does appear my ex car is up for sale, someone has clearly enjoyed the last 12 months judging by the milage, bravo!

I miss mine, so just looking at Lusso.

I did 27k miles in mine over 3years - nothing major, the battery didn't like short journeys during the debth of winter so I would place on trickle charge once or twice a year but other than that the car was brilliant. Really great car at current market prices. I traded up to a Lusso which I love but is twice the price!
I'm just looking at Lusso....did you spec Pan roof, Hi-Fi, AFS & passenger display?

I must admit the lusso is very nice. Would love to get one but I've ordered a superfast so I don't want to lose big bucks on a nearly new car when I would have to change it in a few years when the 812 comes. However if things go well then I could potentially keep the ff and 812 as the ff could hold on to its value well.

Hi turbo,
Your car list is something to behold lol. There is many of my must haves on there (zonda and f40 etc). Interesting that you have also had a 612. How are you enjoying the gtc4?

Nice, I've got an 812 coming too, came back from atelier a few weeks ago, you specced yet?

Not done the specification yet as I won't be getting a car for two years I reckon but I've done the spec on the configurator and I'm thinking it will be just over £300k. I'm not sure how much the special paint is yet so that will make a difference. I'm liking red at the moment but which one? I like the 70 anniversary colour, mugello, f1 2007 and maybe berlinetta so I need to see the colours on some cars hopefully.
As I'll be waiting a few years I would like a car to fill the gap and as I have kids I thought it might be nice for them to be able to enjoy the car as well.
What made you change the ff?
