F12 or DB11

There's no real comparison here..the F12 base price is £80k more than the Aston...it's bound to be most people's choice. Perhaps a fairer question might be F12 or DB11 and a Porsche GT4/GT3 .or whatever you want for around £80k.

Unfortunately I don't own either but I have been fortunate enough to have driven Both.

The F12 feels completely alive and I think its slightly unfair to compare the DB11 to it - Vanquish S currently is far more comparible (even if it doesnt rev anywhere near as freely as the bombastic F12 seems to)

I think in isolation the DB11 is a very very good Grandtourer and in terms of how it drives in comparison to the DB9 is far better in terms of gearshift, and ride. Yes it loses creamy NA V12 but the useability is far higher than before.
Looks is significantly more subjective I like it but DB9 was becoming dated.
Vanquish however I think is one of the prettiest ever designed cars.

F12 dynamically on another planet. Feels razor-sharp and is more a supercar turned gt than a gt come supercar.
That engine deserves its weight in gold, it is a car that does genuinely scare me approaching it - and I think thats what makes it so exciting.
The strong value on the F12 Is another huge positive whereas the DB11 is rapidly depreciating as they are producing far too many of them - and the volante will be due far too often...


Keep the F12 unless you fancy a differently specced car which you'll take a trade dip on your car plus an increase to change but then benefit of more warranty etc biggrindrivingrofl

Having owned an F12, can safely say keep it - or you will regret. I miss mine so much.
Superb in every way.

Surely F12 is more of an occasion Especially from a noise/aural point of view?

They're so totally different, both have ways in which they exceed eachother.
Overall though - That Ferrari V12, Pininfarina styling, everyday usability. No contest for me.

If you're not in a rush to upgrade, the Vanquish replacement should arrive next year. I mention it because it's likely to be the new DBS, based on the DB11 - so sharper claws, a power hike, dynamically a bit more focused and some aggressive styling cues. In terms of lineage, it would be similar to the step change between DB9 and DBS last time (more than just a body kit).

It's unlikely to rival the F12 for ability (the DB11 platform being more comparable to the GTC4) but it ought to be a handy bit of kit.

As a died in the wool Aston fan....

I'd have to say keep the F12. The DB11 lacks soul at this point and the interior design.... well....

The Vanquish S is closer but obviously no where near the ability.

I am British so it grieves me to say this, but the Ferrari is special in a way that no Aston ever can be. Or any Porker or Lambo. There simply is nothing to rival a red Ferrari.

Change it as fast as you can, experience the db11, wait for the f12 to take a dive from the market and the 812 and if you figure that you liked the f12 better, get a newer one for less than you sold yours.

The F12 is a better car, but this question, at this time, with this conjecture, is a no brainer.
