I’m not sure what this car is for? Other than bragging rights on the 18th hole at Pebble Beach. (Great course by the way!)
Is it that much of a puzzle? Look nice, feel good driving it and yes for a decent subset of owners bragging rights. Same as any other extremly expensive car from any other marque?

I think you are deliberately missing my point!

If Ferrari has run out of ideas so be it. But I think slapping a heritage designed body kit on a modern powertrain is selling out.

Maybe they’ve thrown in the towel?! I actually do think us supercar drivers are going to look truly silly poncing around in a £250k plus vehicle when in 5 years time a £50k electric vehicle will almost certainly outperform in ALL areas. Seriously. What will be the point of any of them?

I obviously understand that supercars have always been about status as much as performance and looks but fundamentally at each new generation they were meant to be better in terms of handling, performance and reliability.

The market may well leave you behind. Ferrari's new segment is definitely a new idea & maybe you are constraining your thinking to what you regard new ideas should be.

Very eloquent or in other words - well spun.

Ferrari have signalled exactly what they intend to do. They are going to produce copies of historical designs, with modern powertrains, in limited numbers at astronomical prices. And people will fall over themselves to buy them.

Let’s just be honest about it.

I am clearly in the minority but have the opinion , which by definition is neither right nor wrong, that it is all a bit tragic, pathetic and vulgar.

I’ve changed my mind, I absolutely love the SP2.

Having looked at it more I just love the pure simplicity of its lines.

Clearly just an investment / collection piece.

I can't see too many owners donning a helmet and going out for a fast drive on a Sunday. If you want the same experience then save yourself quite a bit of cash and get a BAC Mono

... because I can get a Bac Mono with a V12

Just because it is expensive and limited doesn’t automatically equate to nobody using it. People are using their 250 GTOs, FXXKs, F1 cars etc too - not every day obviously but still

Probably fewer (as a percentage) low mileage flippers for this one than for Porsche RS cars

Clearly out of reach might be more accurate, maybe?

Apparently very clever aero means goggles aren't necessary, passenger in the two seater excepted.

I am of course biased, but I think the classic lines of the 612 are evident. Frank Stevenson had the right idea in eschewing sharp edges and aggressive lines in favour of elongated curves.

I think the 612 has aged very well. Still think it is esp one of the prettiest rear end designs they have done
