Many thanks for your help; much appreciated.

I will have the brakes checked again as they lack bite and make me leave a larger than usual gap to the car in front when on a motorway-not that that's a bad thing!
Yeah, that doesn’t sound right. I’ve been impressed with the stopping power of mine; inspires plenty of confidence such that when pushing on I’m happy braking late etc but can also scrub off speed as quickly as the thing can put it on.

That does not sound normal unless your point of reference is a much lighter car with similar sized brakes
Unfortunately, the only other car I have owned with Carbons was a 991 GT3...which had the best brakes of any car I've driven.

Anyway, car booked in for a set of Michelins and an annual service.
I will report back.

Apologies for the delay in reporting back.
Annual service was done where brake fluid was changed; brakes are certainly better.

Geometry was done and found to be out. Michelin Supersports all round and the car is really much better.
But of course the sun is shining now and cars always are better after a service...

I would have suggested the “geo” was out that would have cause the tram-lining ....the condition of the road surfaces doesn’t help & should be periodically checked to ensure even wear on the tyres.
