What s their realistic motorway range?
I got just over 300 miles out of the first tank after collecting my car, range went from 50 miles to 0 quite suddenly which gave me severe anxiety as I boarded the boat… This was with some spirited driving too. Would say easily 250 miles on a long run without a concern of it running too low.Hello, new to the Ferrari forum here. I am in the market for a 6 litre V12 with four seats (or 2+2).
It's now down to an FF (or maybe a one to one 612) or an Aston RapideS (I've owned the Aston before but not the FF, but a memorable drive in one).
Why are the RapideS half the price of the FF?

Because one looks so ugly only the most myopically retarded badgers could love it.It's now down to an FF (or maybe a one to one 612) or an Aston RapideS (I've owned the Aston before but not the FF, but a memorable drive in one).

The other looks so dull that nobody gives enough of a rat f
k to care whether it’s an ugly b
d or even whether it exists at all.I've gone around the block in trying to decide on a V12 Ferrari. F12 turned to 812 but I really don't need another 2 seater, now I'm really considering an FF, especially with a 10 and sub 1 year old.
There're two very nicely specced cars on AT, 2013 TDF one and 2016 black/crema one. Were there any significant improvements from 2013 to 2016?
The head says the black one with warranty and the heart says blue one as the colour with spec is stunning. The only thing lacking on the black one I can see is ventilated seats so spec is comparable.
Does anyone know these cars?

Black car has later Nav and Carplay but other than that not really any other updates with later carsThere're two very nicely specced cars on AT, 2013 TDF one and 2016 black/crema one. Were there any significant improvements from 2013 to 2016?

Following video, although from a firm across the pond seems to be quite informative. Once thing that concerns me is the prevalence of full brake replacement on cars currently for sale with only 20-40k miles.
https://youtu.be/UZMoUrArFbc?si=bFJ1cnxPnq_593Bw
The video mentions a brake pad overlap issue on the front axle which is the first I’ve heard of, I’m aware of the corroding bell bolts affecting many cars of this era.
Outside of the main dealer network, is there an eminent firm whom specialises in FF’s?
For reference, my 458 had a power warranty on purchase however I had a PPI with an independent, which brought up corroded front disc bolts and two new front discs. It had a service with Ferrari 2 months prior to my purchase so the presence of the power warranty in isolation doesn’t fill me with confidence.

Hollywood mechanic is very knowledgeable and a great resource but most of his things which will fail before your FF is twelve years old stuff in the video is wide of the mark. There are 17 points of failure he says will happen and my car has only experienced two of them and it’s 14 years old with 40k miles on it (I ve probably jinxed myself now). And nobody else on FChat seems to be experiencing the brake overlap issue.Following video, although from a firm across the pond seems to be quite informative. I think that if you re finding cars with brake disc replacement at 20-40k miles it’s due to age related corrosion of the hat bolts rather than disc wear as they’re supposed to be good for 80k miles unless they’ve been tracked but I don t think many people are taking an FF on track!
Apart from the PTU, everything else about the FF is standard Ferrari so specialist attention shouldn’t really be required. However, Furlongers seem to be well up to speed on FFs as they offer their own PTU rebuild with upgraded seals.
But if you need the PTU fixed, IMHO, the gold standard on PTU rebuilds is SSAutotech as they actually modify the PTU with re-engineered parts (not just the seals) to address the design flaw which causes the failure.
