I’d be grateful to receive appropriate contact details by message if anybody could help?

Just call up your local dealer, I think it's as simple as that.

I've got an 812 and it's an amazing car, absolutely love it, engine is unbelievable.

I was invited to the launch event and the follow up afterwards was that as usual preferance is given to people who attended, then existing customers then new customers in that order.

I'm in for an 812 GTS...your only here once and the way things are going on EVs it might be a last hurrah.

Gratuitous shot of current car because...why not!

That is a superb car. I have been very close to buying a Superfast, but I have moved to Milan and the car is simply too wide for the streets here so it would just be constant stress to drive that around - unfortunately.

So in summary, does anyone know how available they are?

Haha. Typical PH thread where nothing actually gets answered....

I've been given conflicting info over the months from: deposit by x date to guarantee the first set of deliveries to: Ferrari will decide in the end time frame for individual deliveries to: anyone who puts a deposit has a chance.

Sure the truth is somewhere in between but seems to be true that those who attended the unveilings in Italy will be higher up the list. I was lucky enough to be invited and if it wasn't for some personal circumstances would've put deposit down for the first round in a heartbeat.

So basically the answer is no one really knows. Put your deposit down and hope for the best? Pretty lofty deposit now. I think they wanted 30-35k iirc....

The whole attend unveiling aspect is interesting - been invited to a few, but don’t have the time to drive down to Italy to look at a car, so never attended one. Luckily I can’t really afford to buy the car, so don’t have to feel to sad about it .... I will try to make time for the next one though

Just take the plane...?? Much easier! Haha.

You should. I was impressed with how Ferrari presented the whole event and drinks, canapés and dinner afterwards etc. Good experience.

Ditto Lamborghini in Italy. Those Italians know how to do hospitality....

But then you gotta give credit to HR Owen as well no doubt who've always been excellent.

Also my sympathies for missing your 355. If it's any consolation I love mine... wink

I am sure they are great events, I went to one of the Lusso on snow experiences - which was excellent.
I like to drive places and as I am in Germany/Austria, it is not that all that far
Maybe see you at one in the upcoming year

I can imagine, in my opinion the perfect combination of looks, performance, interaction etc for today’s speed limited streets . Enjoy in good health

I will own another one at some point, currently waiting to see if the 355 Challenge cars ever get into the double digit purchase price range again or if that ship has sailed forever

Different responses from the dealers but I’ve managed to get a deposit down and should find out within six months if I’ve got one for the end of 2022, they seem fairly confident. That time frame suits me more. Apparently up to 30% of the production run can go to those without previous F ownership.
Thanks for the advice.

End of 2022? Wow that’s three years away. My dealer told me a year ago Ferrari don’t want anyone waiting more than 24 months for a car now. In three years time they will have released another zillion models. Do you want it that badly?

In short, yes! It may be the last open V12 , for the money I’ll spend I want to spec it myself. I can’t fund it now, but circumstances will be different in a year or two, so I’m ok to be at the back of the list.
The other dealers said either ‘no chance’ or ‘buy an 812 SF first and you might get on the list’ - so I’ll take the wait in preference.

I like the car (although find the headlights very challenging), but would have a hard time walking past the blue 550 Barchetta currently for sale to order one of these (and then wait for 2-3 years)

Edit: this is the one I mean https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

I’ve looked at that Barchetta on and off. Annoyingly low miles, and there are a few for sale that are not shifting (that’s the nicest one). Agree it’s more interesting, but usage would be very roof-limited!

I also keep coming back to it - too expensive for me though unfortunately, should have bought one for sale at a Ferrari dealer in Frankfurt for 140k euros 4-5 years ago. Ah well
Probably not the best car for the UK I guess, but summers here in Munich are better and the also are just a short drive away ....

I'm not sure you can compare a 550 Barchetta with an 812 GTS, the progress and gulf in performance is so huge.

I love my 575 manual and will never sell it, but the 812 is something else to drive.

No doubt the Barchetta is a better investment if that is what matters though.

all fair points (and if I had your lovely 575, I would be less interested in it), but manual V12 convertible on a warm summer day .... sounds like bliss and I don't even like convertibles
investment potential does luckily not enter my car buying decisions - am stupid that way smile
