And what could possibly go wrong lol.
Corona virus? Lol. Congrats on your 10000th post BTW And what could possibly go wrong lol.
In the grand scheme of things I guess 12-14000 new Ferraris in a year, world wide, is not a lot. Especially given seemingly endless cheap credit. Our whole capitalist system depends upon perpetual growth supported by an inflated money supply. For how much longer the party will continue is anybodys guess. As the article points out the bigger existential threat to Ferrari is the push toward electrification and autonomous cars driven by government policy.

Very true but we do live in a different world now, fuelled by social media and 'likes'. I know of a few people living in a £400k house who drive a £150k car. The desire to look good to the world and the lure of headline finance numbers can skew reality. That was never a factor in the past, generally people who bought these cars were hardcore enthusiasts. Not saying there are not enthusiasts around but there are plenty of the poser element around too who wouldn't know a 250GT SWB from a Reliant Scimitar. Witness that horrible Z3 based fake California that is forever driving round Mayfair in circles on a daily basis.
I was chatting to one of my builders and he told me he has £170k across two cars, both financed heavily. His desperation to get paid every time he does a job for me, relatively small amounts, doesn't suggest he manages his money very well!
