Car looks great in that colour, very nice.
FWIW, I would just out front plate on and forget about it.

What are other 812 owners on here doing regarding the front plate as mine has never had one fitted. It had only done less than 1.9k miles however i intend using it more so don't want the worry of being issued another FPN for not displaying one.
Got the latest version from Carbonio sent over from the states, only took 4 days to arrive. The new design can be on/off in seconds with spring mount hooking on rear of spoiler. Think was about £230 delivered and very well engineered out of Aluminium. This is a fourdot fully legal front plate.

I had a Carbonia on both my 458 and 488 which were great. I was driving in a convoy of 13 Ferraris a week last Thursday when we were pulled into a layby by some cops who booked most for either no plate or dodgy spacing, sizes etc. Mine passed with no issues so will 100% get the new design Carbonia one.
Did you order direct from Carbonia and did you get a discount number to put with your order.? Its $295 plus $38 shipping when i checked this evening. I'd happily pay £230 delivered though.
Your new 812 looks fantastic by the way.

Sorry, just checked back on my PayPal and it came out at £241 so I think the same as what you quoted…. I looked around for a discount code but couldn’t find one.

I use number plate holders from carbonio for both my 488 and F8. They do one for the 812 as well. Excellent products, easy to fit, no drill.

I ordered one this morning as it seems the best solution by far.

If not the greatest ?. Never ever driven a car quite like it !. The steering, despite being very fast geared coupled with Rear axle steering makes it hyper reactive although due to it being heavier and ultra precise allows you to place the car to the inch. I find the steering much better than my 488 and on par with the F8 which is also a brilliant Ferrari.
Right now i can't even imagine ever selling it. Its Ferrari at its best just like Porsche's gen 2 RS WP.

everyone who owns one goes wild over the 812, i'd personally have one over a TDF (if they were the same price)

an 812 with a 458 spec is probably the golden combo from the last 20 years in my opinion

Looks glorious! Congratulations on a stunning purchase. Great choice re colour combo too. One or two have criticised the looks of the SF preferring it's predecessor, however it's the 812 for me all day long!

How are you possibly going to reign in all that power? I feel like a guilty little boy when I use all the horses in my GT3 yet you have another 300 at your disposal! biggrin

Having seeing both an F12 and 812 side by side I too prefer the latter's looks, all subjective I know. However the looks pale into insignificance when you drive the thing. Like a Porsche GT3 you feel at one with car's controls but lurking in the background lies a wild beast which you have to keep under tight leash. There lies a sense of drama and specialness at even sane speeds which I've never felt in any car before.
The steering is so quick yet precise and very intuitive. I'm actually quite shocked how much sheer brilliance Ferrari have managed to engineer into the 812.
I nearly bought another 812 in Grigio Ferro before Xmas but my kids insisted it had to be a Rosso one. I'm glad I listened and especially in Rosso Fuoco it looks incredible.

"Its quite simply the best engine ever put in a road legal car."
Even as a V12 Lambo guy I have to agree - the 812 engine is truly special, with a full Novitech set up, you have a F1 V12 noise that is unmatched in any road car...... Blu Electrico or Tripple Layer red for me ..... one day soon I hope..... Quite surprised how much they have gone up in the last 3 months... and are selling not just sitting there either...
Enjoy your fantastic machine, please do not put your'e foot down unless the tyres are warm and the roads are dry - even in 'wet mode'.
I was very surprised how easily traction was lost - and the stability systems did not help at all even in a straight line.
A certain Ferrari salesman found out the hard way...
Great car and the engine is truly special...
