I'm getting a little excited for for final product.

Robin at
https://rabtarcomposite.ch/index.html
who will do the manufacturing has engaged his friend Édouard Suzeau
https://edouardsuzeau.myportfolio.com/work
to do the design. Looking at his work I'm hopeful for a product that's esthetically pleasing as well as functional.

I've also told Robin that the design options will be QC'd by DeejRC, so if the final product is useless I'll know who to blame redcard
Good Lord. How did you come across those guys?!
Given Edouard’s portfolio we’re now primed to expect something wild for your car!

C’mon don’t commission Damien Hirst and expect him to give you the Mona Lisa.

Accept that you’ve commissioned wild and embrace it!

I have a tax bill to pay this month, stop it!
I’ve also got a Volvo XC60 to purchase next month.

Fun car not in the next few weeks on pain of both Rachel AND my wife!

Shiny bits have arrived

Not so shiny bit

Now Lee can arrange for the crank, pistons and connecting rods assembly to be sent for balancing before Isotropic Super Finishing.

Exhaust is supposed to arrive at customs tomorrow.

Funk Motorsports modified/ repaired engine bay heat shields are due middle to late April.

Ferrari are still being useless about sending the gearbox parts.

Santa only delivered half the presents. frown

Customs have decided that additional documents are required for the exhaust. Ferrari are dithering over gearbox parts and won't say why they will not release them.

I have requested a design for the B9 Tilletts. This is what Archie came up with.

I like the head rest, maybe the dot of the 'T' could be yellow?

The main two seat panels are too plain. I've asked for black stitching to be added.

Or should I do something completely different?
This is the current interior

The black contrast stitching is definitely the way forward. The rest of your leatherwork has contrast stitch so that will also tie in nicely.
I also like your idea of having the T dot in yellow to add a hint of colour which suggests that these are no ordinary seats despite the OEM look.

If I remember rightly it should be around -/+ 3.5 kg for the bare seat. Will have to add the frame and seat pads and that will take to +/- 7-8 kg.

Today Lee is building up the crank rotating assembly so that it can be sent for balancing along with the fly wheel.

Unfortunately bad news from Ferrari, they will not release the bevel gear set despite having 'available' stock. Unofficially these items are either damaged or sub standard and new parts will not be available till the end of May with no guarantee of delivery date.

Item 10

I'm at a loss as to what to do to circumvent this delay. frown

At least there is some hope they eventually will have stock to sell. 599 and many others are getting to age where this isn't certain at all. 10 years from now very few parts are going to be available at all unless some aftermarket company makes them. Factory simply do not care as there isn't large enough profit for them no matter how large price they put on them. Todays solution is just wait, hope and buy everything what might be needed any time in future right now while parts are still available.
