Question: Is the exhaust valve disconnect a simple thing? I've got a V12 Vantage and have pulled the fuse for the flaps. Is it similar on the F12?

the easy way is to disconnect vacuum pipe, as shown the the DIY vids.
from experience i did that but then i bought and fitted this manual valve controller.
easy fit, perfect for my needs.

If you want to install a remote controller for the valves, don’t fit the Forza controller. It has a dangerous mode of operation which could result in engine damage.

Either install the Capristo controller or if you want to stick with Forza, install the controller designed for the turbocharged engines.

And before the outcry from Forza owners starts, we’ve been over this before and the fact that Ferrari dealerships will fit Capristo controllers and not Forza controllers tells you everything you need to know. But if that’s not enough, the reason to avoid the Forza is due to excessive back pressure which is created if the controller is set to fully closed.

Finally… after losing patience with the weather, I decided to collect the beast and drive it home. What an awesome thing it is! Looking forward to getting to learn how to extract the true potential of this magnificent machine - ideally on some dry, warm days!

Yes. Really enjoying it. After a few months of getting to know the car, I look forward to every drive with excitement. It’s an amazing all rounder. Cruise gently if you want, blast around at warp speed if you want, listen to the V12 symphony at any speed all the time, enjoy the gorgeous cabin, marvel at the timeless design. It’s pretty special. smile

They are indeed pretty special.
Not quite pinin’s best work, let’s be fair here they do have a pretty outrageously stonking back catalogue of genius.

I do think there is a genuine argument however, that it’s Ferraris “best” ever car as an all round proposition. I go so far as telling ppl I may well consider the F12 the best car ever made.

Almost a year into my F12 ownership, first proper drive out this year that involved a epic 70 mile cross country blast to tescos to buy some paninis.

Still love it to bits.
