Ferrari F40 LM Question?

I've been looking into the Ferrari F40 LM recently, and I've run into conflicting results. Some say the car is road legal; others say it isn't. Some say the car produced 720bhp; others say it produced 900! Just wondering if anyone can clear this up for me? Thanks a lot

I think Ferrarichat is your best source (among others I believe there is a thread running on a LM rebuild by Traveller)
I don't know them well but believe the LM is not road legal but there are some road legal f40s with LM parts etc
