it didn't bother me when i bought it as it clearly hadn't being driven whilst in storage, and had being kept up with so well..... clearly wont be worth as much as one thats being driven 500 miles a year with 20, 19 stamps etc in the book but certainly no issues about why hasnt it being serviced? why the gaps?..... errr because it was in a specialist car storage ..... i guess thats why the dealers i spoke to said for these sort of cars doing that sort of mileage every other year is more than acceptable........

but hey ho each to their own

thanks for the input
It might not bother you but it will bother others.

the guy who told me this is a friend who actually works in that side of a business for a main dealer, personally i saw a bit of this when i owned a 993 and the service definitely wasn't as good at a main dealer as specialist inde that stayed away from what at the time was the more modern stuff but i am sure there will be examples of both sides of the coin where ever you go
Take it to Carrs. Brilliant service, main dealer stamp and indie prices. Ask for Mark Ware

I second that. My F355 has a service every year regardless of the annual mileage and its been in storage for 95% of the last 5 years. One year I think the annual mileage was the trip from Carrs to the storage and back to Carrs, but its got a FFSH and I'm not breaking that after 20 years

Carrs is a bit far away :-)

It's being done at jct Ferrari in Leeds, they are doing rates for older ones which makes them competive etc.

As it's always had the odd year missing when its being in storage before I bought it, and because of what the independents I have spoken to said, I am quite comfortable with it being serviced occasionally every other year when it's in storage. It's not concourse but a good straight car in a rare and nice colour combo which is why I bought it when I did. These 355's will always be popular but won't be the collectibles of some of their Ferrari models for stellar money.

Just drive the car and keep up the service schedule - ultimately every year or every other year is both fine (although I do service my cars annually just for peace of mind). It is too high mileage to be a worth gazillions anyway - if it was a 3-digit mile car, the story would be different and you should probably never drive it again - which would be a shame

Even if you add say 1-2k a year, it'll still not harm value in my opinion

Carrs collect mine in a truck Andy. All-in it's still cheaper than my local Ferrari main dealer!
