F40 On holiday
Discussion
The chap whose company fitted the lights to the Eiffel tower for the millennium year parked his F40 in front of us as we walked back to our car. I asked him if I could sit in his car which he allowed. What I remember the most was how wide the door sill was.
I saw the one at Ferrari last summer,it looked like someone had put it through a carwash then just drove it on to the display. None of the other display cars had been lovingly detailed either.

I read on here that the F40 is a lot more comfortable to cover distance in than the F50. A friend sent me pics of a silver British registered F50 at Spa last year.
Nice to see these cars driven, I went to silverstone for the Ferrari day and I saw a foreign registered (can’t remember where from) F40 there covered in grime. It looked cool against the imacuatley polished ones. Although i liked them as well!

I talked to a (very friendly) guy at the Brighton Speed Trials a couple of years ago who was running his F40. He seemed to use it plenty, it looked nicely used and he said he did much of his own maintenance. He also added that the owners club didn't quite approve, which motivated him further...

I did meet one F40 owner a number of years ago who showed up at all the owners club events, never drove his car, just had it trailered around. Honestly don't get it.Gassing Station | Ferrari Classics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
