To commemorate 30 years of dealing in classic Ferraris, Talacrest's John Collins is releasing a book, with all the profits going to charity, about the cars he has dealt in. Due for release in December.

Should be interesting!!!

Does look an interesting read. £120 is quite a lot of money however. Can anyone review it?

Well worth it. John is a lovely guy and the money goes to a good cause.

Got it for Christmas, and a must buy if your interest is Classic Ferrari. Great 'photos and details of cars that have passed through Talacrest, and a must buy if you are an enthusiast. If you own a classic Ferrari a 'must buy' in my opinion for your bookshelf.

I've only had a chance to dip into my copy so far but I'm very pleased with it. Worth the money? Well, I would have liked it to have been cheaper but I'm happy I bought it.

Sorry only seen this !
I've been a big fan of JC and use to pop in when he had his showroom in Egham, I think Mike Wheeler worked there too. So that was about 25 years or so ago and the Ferrari passion has always been in my blood ever since.
As a life long Ferrari fan I bought the book. The photography is great ( I'm also a photographer ), and there's great stories and history about the cars, Talacrest and John. What would have been interesting to read was how many 250 GTO, 288 GTO , etc John has sold.
I've also bought another book by a 'well known dealer', but sadly there's very little story of deals and history of the cars and it's more of an ego book for him, and the photos used in the book is shocking.

Tom Hartley by any chance, Self made man , A little full of himself likewise his son Carl but got to hand

it to him he's done very well for himself , Reminds me of a British Donald Trump for some reason.

Tom Hartley jnr seems like a very genuine young guy . Very passionate and knowledgeable about the

high end classic cars he sells with his own stunning private collection ,

The two brothers seem like chalk and cheese.

Good luck to them.

When visiting Maranello's showroom i would go to Talacrest as well ,passing it on the way to the workshop in Thorpe to have

a nosy around , Can't believe that was 40 odd years ago, good times
