Hi all,

would value your opinion on a car I've been offered. It's from a collection of 38 cars (23 ferraris). White, LHD circa 48k, in immaculate condition thousands spent on bodywork and interior , automatic.. comes with history. The buyer restored it so he could put it next to his new FF( 4 seater).

Just wandered what a fair price was for these great cars

Based on zero knowledge apart from a 2 min search on the classified I'd say £45k.
Please put up lots of pictures up if the deal goes through.
Good luck

Thankyou i meant 48k mileage. Hes asking for a lot less! Maybe worth taking a punt. Had never thought about a 412. Was always keen on a 355!!

If you want an Honest value, give Dave in sales a call at The Ferrari Centre, tell him I suggested you call him.

My feeling would be £30k. It would be worth driving 1st as the 3 speed Auto is not great.

A quick Google of “Ferrari 412 auction” shows 412 values have increased over the past 2 years. J know someone who sold a 400i Auto in 2014 for mid £20’s and a 16k 400i Auto Convertible conversion this year for mid £30’s after spending over £10k on it.

I’d say £35-40k valuation, and only if it really is immaculate. The condition might suggest £50-60k but IMHO 48k is too close to high mileage and LHD knocks ~10k off. I’m also somewhat doubtful about the colour combination, as darker colours usually appeal to most buyers of larger Ferraris, and am wondering if it’s original (and if not, another 5k off).

It’s a shame but the 4xx has always struggled with values. I think they’re rather handsome, but 4-seater Ferrari’s are never going to be especially valued, and these are too much saloon, and not enough coupe, I suspect.

Just my view though, based on watching the ads over the years, and as previously mentioned I’d recommend professional advice before taking the plunge.

Thankyou for all your inputs. There are a couple of questions I need to ask the seller. What I've realised is that the prices that are available in the classifieds are not necessarily the prices that are being obtained. I felt I was getting a bargain and for the condition of the car which is concourse. However it appears that the car though clean is being sold at a price that reflects the market and is spot on according to dealers.

I'll wait for a 355smile. Apparently prices have dropped since last year!!! Many thanks

Advertised prices seem very strong on the continent, and 48k mileage is by no means high in this context. Mainland Europeans seem much less concerned with mileage than we are.

Those prices are insane !!!!! But you're right much higher than in the U.K. LHD. Obviously more desirable in mainland Europe !

Ha , now I'm thinking again !!!

I am guessing the 48k miles is in KM, so about 30k miles ?
Makes a difference.
The other thing I would find out is how long it has been sitting, some use can help avoid problems.

Hi no it's 48k miles .

I've decided to let his one go, despite it looking incredible and the price is actually on the money according to the Ferrari centre. They think because of its concourse quality it would sell quick but not necessarily at a much higher premium.

I have a number of cars now , just wanted to add a Ferrari and knew very little about them, I'll wait for the right 355 to turn up. Thankyou for all your help guys !!
